checking the voltage with this...

hello there,

I have a xtar vp1 charger , and wondered if it can double as say a voltmeter to check the batteries, or should I invest in a separate voltmeter like the mini one (£5) from cottonpickers?.

thanks.

Those mini voltmeters are £1 shipped on ebay. Ebay search.

The VP1 is a nice little charger and I like it a lot. The voltage display is great for a quick check to decide whether or not to recharge a cell. If that is your only need for a volt meter then I think you’re good to go. But a real DMM is much more useful, and cheap ones are readily available.

hi, much thanks.
will stick with VP1 for now.
found a friend who might have a spare mini one from work. will use that later.

thanks.
