This is my first P60 drop in light and i love it....small compact but my only qaulms that i have is the big head, but other then that a fabulous light. I have been spending some time looking at drop-ins like theres no tomorrow. I ordered the light with the flat SS bezel and also the two way clip and picked the R2 drop-in. Enjoy the pics.
Try removing the head and holding the dropin in place. Most P60 lights hold back the output by occluding some of the beam. Surefire beams are much narrower than most so they don't do this.
Trying to figure out a head that doesn't throttle output. Got as far as duct tape to hold the dropin in place but it isn't pretty. Light output goes up a fair bit. I have one of these and an extension tube so it can use 2x18650. Will take 1xCR123-4xCR123, 1x18650-2x18650. Fun to Lego with.

I bought it without the clip but with a body that allows one or two CR123 then bought an 18650 extension. Just off to take the pics.

I don't like the spiky bezel so usually use the head from the Uniquefire L2 which has a flat bezel.
Thats why i opted for the flat ss bezel ring......i just want you guys to know that i retired my NiteCore D10 and planning to edc the L2m......I was thinking of getting the single AA barrel for the L2m.......but the only thing thats holding me back is the price......my Wife would be like you paid that much and it doesnt even come with all the parts, lol. That is a nice light man, i was thinking of just getting another for 18650 use.
I'd just get the extension tubes you need. A 2x14500 tube should be happy enough screwed to the CR123 body. I think the L2R is the one that does AA but I'd need to check that. Instead I'm off to bed - it is 23:40 here and I start work at 08:30.

I'm also looking at the LM2 as I really like the stubby lights.
Then in that case i would just pick one up.......im more into single celled lights anyway.

I really, really, really wanted the stainless steel one though. There's just something special about shiny, silver things. 
Then you should have gotten it then.
Just ordered a SS light crenulated bezel and it should be here come monday.
