Big reflector multi cell Skyray XML@Manafont

Im liking multicell big reflector lights lately, heres another new one from MF.

Sky Ray STL-V2 Cree T6 Adjustable 3 Or 5 Modes LED Flashlight (2*18650/3*16340/3*CR123A)

and a new SS R5

Yes, i see it....WOW!

This is a real flashlight, reflector is perfect!

...but unfortunately it can´t work with only 1 x 18650

There is a identical discussion going on in CPF budget lights and also the LED General forum here. That 3800 lumens thread.

mm very nice and big smooth reflector .

@2100 you must be thinking of the 3x XML one this is only 1 XML

Ohh...ok. Hahah.... my mistake.

That reflector is very similar in size to a TK41, I'd love to see how much light it puts out, and what kind of draw it pulls from those two batteries.

waiting on some info from jim@MF. It would’ve been nice if it was 3mode no blink and 5mode w blink or no blink at all just gradual brightness. I don’t know how dependable it would be with the twist for the 2 mode groups.

Interesting why only 3 * 16340 / 3 * CR123A?

Either they don't count very well, or the driver is limited to ~12v.

Seems like manafont is selling a lot more big reflector lights lately. the jetbeams are a little pricey but look really nice.

BC40

M1X

RRT3

M2S

shiningbeam has the BC40 for 69usd only two dollars more than manafort. in the states i would order from bryan and have it in a couple of days.

i really like the stuff i have gotten from this bunch and try to push business their way.

Does anybody have this flashlight? Have it a good throw? What would be better to buy this flashlight or add 30 usd and buy Solarforce M8?

No, but I have chosen the Trustfire X9 XM-L

http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/trustfire-x9-xml-t6-white-led-flashlight-gray-118650-p-7293

Prefere the single cell version and it looks also better.

expecting the X9 next week.

I will get mine by early next week. The m8 is nice but way too much imo.
The x9 would be nice I’m not sure about the internals.

Please measure a hotspot diameter at 1m. My Trustfire X8 have 70mm at 1m. Trustfire TR-1200 - 100mm at 1m. Ultrafire C88(XR-E) 40mm at 1m.

Thommy, do review your X9 and pls do remember to measure the hotspit size @ 1m! I need a XM-L
thrower.

Well, it's probably more useful to measure the hotspot intensity @ 3-5m with light meter. 1m isn't enough for beam to focus.

From what I see from the U-80 and UF-980L, it can focus properly at 1m already, but just to be safe, 3m would be nice too. Wanna see how much difference is it and if i should get the X9. I agree that the X9 is quite a bit nicer.

How true!

BTW, I have just received this luxmeter:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&rt=nc&nma=true&item=220796827173&si=ZaxL2aUFYf6eWNATmqNJMvEYy7A%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3AEOIBSA%3AUS%3A1123

It has also a Max mode, which is very handy for measuring hotspots from a distance. Well built with the maker's reference for professional measurement equipment, like their Grain moisture meter and Paper moisture meter. Comes with wavelength response and frequency response graphs besides the measurement errors table. Being able to read Chinese would help. Laughing

Even if my HS-802 looks focused nicely at 1m, at longer distances part of the corona seems to join the hotspot proper.

My max readings (converted to 1m when farther) are:

at 1m = 36400 Lux (here the hotspot also barely covers the luxmeter sensor diffuser)
at 1.41m = 43800 Lux
at 2m = 51760 Lux
at 3m = 54360 Lux
at 4m = 54720 Lux

It's my first use of the luxmeter though, I may need some practice.
