Overview of 1/2 AAA CQG S3 XPG2 R5 4A

This nifty little buggar arrived today.

3 Mode (H-L-Strobe), forward clicky
1/2 AAA tiny battery included
AAA charger adapter included
Cheap holder box included

Just some things I noticed:

Pros
Short range more floody than throw.
Decent amount of light output in low light conditions.
Very small, I could see myself attaching it to my key chain and barely noticing it.
Remembers High after 1-2 seconds of being off.
Nice little BLF engraving!
Extremely tight seam between tailcap and body. I wasn’t sure where it unscrewed at first.
Threads are smooth after a bit of cleaning.
Smooth beam via OP reflector.

Cons
Strobe seems kind of pointless on a low output tiny light.
Laminate peeling off the holder box, rusted metal on the little box latch.
Some metal shavings in the threads, 5mm shaving hanging on next to the threads on the tailcap.
Tiny switch can be difficult to operate because of its size.
A few small errors in machining, 1 on the bevel just above the lens, 1 in the center of the threads, 1 in the tailcap.
Mine was acquired through a giveaway, but at $18… It seems a bit high imo.

Curious if I can safely charge this 1/2 AAA in my i2.
I’ll take some quick pictures if anyone is interested.

interesting light

no - i wouldnt charge in your i2

output current is 0.5 amp for 2 batteries and 1 amp for 1 battery

2c (2x capacity charge rate) is much to high for such a small battery

i would recommend charging at around 100ma if possible

Bummer. Any idea what charger will charge that low?

a hobby charger like the turnigy accucel 6 or accucel 8 or the icharger 106b
