Driver that messes with my TV signal.

I have a driver that actually messes up my TV reception. Does anyone know how this is possible? It’s not cable or satellite. It’s local channels that I get with an antenna.

The driver is a 38mm Side-Switch CC 5000mA 0-100% LED Driver, 5-18v, SST50 from Lck-led.

http://www.lck-led.com/38mm-side-switch-5000ma-driver-sst50-p-1102.html?...

The driver is in a courrui big head flashlight with an XP-G2. It also doesn’t work correctly. The dim function will not stay correctly. I can also get it to go into three mode and there are blinkies available too.

Is this some kind of short?

As for the TV obviously it’s not a big deal I just find it curious and wondered if anyone else has ever had this happen.

I’m a junky, I mod lights so I can sell lights so I can buy more light to mod so I can sell lights to buy more lights to mod.

One of my early bike lights used to play havoc with the cycle computer when on any setting below max.

I made the battery lead shorter and put a ferrite ring on the lead…problem solved. I guess the pwm was causing rfi and the battery lead was acting as an aerial.

Thanks for the reply. That is interesting to know that I’m not the only one. It’s funny how these things happen. I have a few guitar amps that once in a while pick up radio sometimes truckers and sometimes music. Odd.

A few miles from where I grew up was a longwave transmitting station. I will never forget walking along beside a barbed wire fence near the station and hearing the fence acting as a ‘radio’….

And no, I had not been drinking alcohol Smile

What input voltage? If it's still set up with the stock 3P cell layout, the driver will partially work but not be very happy. I've tested mine with up to 4S and it was fine.

3S I rewired the battery carrier so they are in series.

same happen with every AC drivers too (85-240V input drivers for led lamps)
It caused huge RFI with VHF band, little RFI for UHF and completely jammed nearby FM radios
