Its time for me to pass on a great light to someone else in this community - I just sent Vinh a large chunk of change for a new modded light, and I will be moving out a few other lights over the next week or two from my collection to cover the cost.
The first light I will be selling is a Mint condition BTU super shocker modded by our very own BLF veteran Tom E.
Some Mod details:
UCL
XML2-U2 Coolwhite on copper sink pads (thick, current friendly wires too)
IOS 3.5 amp driver (3.7 amps measured at the switch by Tom E on keepower 3400s) high/medium(30)/low(5) with memory, pwm frequency is 3900hz (I am sensitive to pwm and this driver has never bothered me)
Copper braid on battery carrier springs
Numbers - lumens: 3,706 OTF at start, 3,553 OTF at 30 secs, throw: 179 kcd – on KeepPower 3400’s.
Man, just typing this - I am having second thoughts about selling this one!
I will take some photos tonight, but the light is in extremely mint condition, very rarely taken out of the house.
The light and mod cost me ~180$ last spring.
I am asking $145 shipped within the USA, international will be expensive, since this bad boy is so heavy! But if you are international and are interested please PM me for a price. Light will ship from CT, USA and ship in the factory box with tracking. I can also include 3x panasonic 3400 ncrb protected cells that have been used with this light for an additional $11 (batteries have been cycled 3-5 times)

thanks for the comments - yeah - i tried to price it fair, and also tempting enough where another member might just want to spring for it... this is a great light by itself even before the mods, i think everyone should at least lay hands on one at some point

That is definitely a great deal on a truly amazing light. Shockers do so many things well. Im actually surprised that you would consider selling it. You know you’re ganna miss it… :_(
yeah, i think this is one i will miss - i really have too many big lights though… i got both the supbeam k50vn and x60vn coming, so i need to move out some lights to make room. might as well give some fellow blf-ers the chance to enjoy them just as much as i did
I have two Shockers with one modded and I have to say that its performance is incredible. It’s a serious winner in both flooder and thrower worlds especially at that price.
I gotta jump in too and say this is an awesome light. I also have a version by Tom E that is almost identical to this one. This BTU version has an awesome blend of power, throw, and respectable runtime.
