Wow, looks like MF is going high-end, carrying the 'good stuff' too.

Rats, finally sold my 2010 509hp Mustang...now I can buy more lights!

Sold the red one too! Now guess what I drive, doing my penance for 500 hp commuters...

The biz model works. And over at another site, they were saying "All those lights at DX and Manafont sites are....".  Money mouth

Yep ... looks like I need to raise my prices too..

EDIT: the ezAA's take the 14500 .. just no increase in light ... only runtime .

My recollection is the D10 / 11 series do take 14500s.  But the driver is designed so that the light output on a 14500 is exactly the same as it is on a regular AA.  Putting in a 14500 might give you more runtime but won't turn the light into a pocket rocket.

The drivers in the EX/D10 i know for sure run regulated above 1.3-1.4V. So a NiMH loaded with full output current will be slightly dimmer than anything above 1.4V, however anything 1.4V and above will give the same output So we have a buck/boost driver here. This is a far superior driver than those that just overdrive emitters on higher voltages, normal boost drivers - those are not true regulated drivers, however they are unfortunately the "norm" in budget lights.

The EX is the 123 version, the D is the AA version, both using exactly the same driver.  The 11 models are higher output 150-200 ish lumens anyway. The EX11 doesnt state version 2 in the description (but could be). The D11.2 is stated as a version 2. I would strongly recommend the version 2 if you want the shortcuts to high/low and to have a more hidden strobe and SOS.

I like the old  ones better modded ...then you end up with a better light .
