Just to keep everyone up to date. Everyone has contacted me and I am now placing the order again. Also I have to start over from scratch because my Spreadsheet wasn't good enough. They have a specific Template for Excel 2007 that must be used. Another thing that would have been nice to have informed me of earlier.

Oh gosh, at this point I be tempted to send them a PDF in Yiddish.

LOL No kidding.

I’m a junky, I mod lights so I can sell lights so I can buy more light to mod so I can sell lights to buy more lights to mod.

No good deed goes unpunished. OL’s HD2010 GB hit a slight snag too.

I guess we’re not big enough or heavy enough for them to worry about. Hence the misdirection and blatant lies.

Maybe if/when we stop buying from them they’ll get the idea.

All orders go through MtnElectronics now for me. I did get in on the O-L group buy, but just barely. Very sick and tired of all this Chinese drama.

MtnElectronics’ prices are great but the total cost goes up for overseas (outside US) buyers like me because of the shipping fees. I just wish there will be MtnElectronics ‘branches’ to cater to flashaholics from other parts of the world. Smile

And if you can’t get ebay, I hear that there’s a herd of trained goats that he’s been looking at buying.

Thank you 18sixfifty for your time and energy you invested in this project Smile
I got the refund 2,5 hours ago. I wanted 12 drivers and 5 emitters (maybe increase the number up to ten) - now I will try if Fasttech offers me the same prices as the "old" group buy prices.

Light up the darkness.

Got my refund. Thank you for all the work you put into this, and sorry for how unprofessional FT has been throughout the ordeal. Even though their prices are still fairly competitive, I'm going to order the parts I need from elsewhere.

Thanks guys and sorry again for the trouble.

I’m going to be shopping elsewhere myself. I really can’t see myself dealing with them again after this.

I placed the order for the mods, but after that I’m done with them.

I’m a junky, I mod lights so I can sell lights so I can buy more light to mod so I can sell lights to buy more lights to mod.

Thanks for trying. FastTech, if any of your reps read this, the way you have dealt with this is completely stupid. Also with an item that was faulty I sent back and you changed your mind on refunding as well. I’ve directed business away from you a few times already because of it, you’ve already lost much more than you would have lost dealing with these issues correctly.

got mine back too

Sad that they screwed so many over, uncool of them

You did your best…they just kept changing the rules to squeeze more money…which is a low down rat fink way to do business

Make sure you let them know how much money they lost and how disgusted with their whole service

I let them know I was good and ticked off. What gets me is that I know they lost money by not taking the order. Even at the price they quoted me they had to be making money. So why would they mess around and lose a $1,600 order and tick off a whole bunch of people? Lazy, greedy or stupid?

Also I had to have told them that this was for Budget Light Forum at least 30 different times. So they knew it was for a bunch of their customers who have been with them from the time they started out.

I’m a junky, I mod lights so I can sell lights so I can buy more light to mod so I can sell lights to buy more lights to mod.

Just going back to the issue of the small differences left from PP fees etc, really, the order was $1600? 2% of that was going to hurt…

now theres an eye opener. I thought maybe a couple of hundred in orders.

Never jumped on the FT bandwagon myself, actually had more problems with FT than many other vendors including several on the blacklist. Thanks for trying 18sixfifty, sorry about all the effort invested by yourself. As for the host, emitters, and drivers, I could care less.

Thanks for the effort. They're probably making money from vapeheads faster than they can count it.

Thanks Brad for all the time/effort. No prob.

I had just ordered qty 5 of these: 2.1A 7135 2 group driver for $2.37 each -- I'll add 7135's and re-program them anyway. I've ordered a ton of these: 2.8A 7135 2 group driver at $2.68 each in the past in qty 5 or qty 10 bunch's. I thought I requested ordering qty 10 of items in the past from them, and it took so long for them to get back to me, and the price difference was insignificant anyway, so I gave up trying to get price quotes.

This pretty much is another confirmation how bad these guys have become. Unfortunately, I still have to depend on them for some things because they still are the only source for some hard to find items, and they still have the best 7135 driver and parts prices around that I could find.

It stinks that Fasttech handled the order in such an unprofessional manner. I appreciate the time and effort you put into the group buy.

I hope you don’t end up being stuck with any PayPal fees as a result of this order, the refunding of money, etc.

Many of us swear almost as much as our wives. But not all of us like to read it, some are women who dont like foul language, some of us have children/grandchildren reading alongside us. After all, its just torches we are talking about here and as such most dont expect to be confronted with language that leaves us wishing we didnt let the little tikes sit on our lap as we browse our favorite forum. This leavs people apprehensive about logging in too, so we lose, well who knows what we lose, but Im guessing most dont want to find out. As we are a community, the only way that can work is not to swear/post pictures you wouldnt want your kids to see.

But yes, they deserve much much more.
