I can’t really say anything right now, it’s been a lot of work. If they follow the plans then we should see a very good budget light. Higher price then sa-22 but more expensive build quality.

Just ordered the Starry light, hope it is as awesome as it sounds. Originally wanted the D40A but $30 is about the most I’m willing to spend on a light, I will likely be in for one provided this one lives up to its promise.

Awesome to see the manufacturer being responsive to the concerns of the BLF community!

It’s been considerably more than a week or two. Production/design issues?

And why the secrecy? What could possibly go wrong if people knew a little more about it?

For the price I paid ($25 including shipping), I think the SA-22 BLF edition is quite a good buy.
Just like yourself I didn’t want to have to spend $65-$85 on a 4xAA brand-name light. Besides, I only wanted
a 4xAA light because I didn’t yet have one in my collection.
