I am making custom P-60 drop ins to order, send me a PM for available options and prices. I am pretty much able to use any emitter and have many program and driver options.

I currently have XMLs U2s in 1A tint, T6 in 3C tint and T4 in 7B tint, XPGs in R4 4B tint, R5 4C and 1A tint available and XREs in R2 EZ 1000 and Green generics. New arrival 5C tint XMLs, these have such a nice tint........... oh man they are so nice.

I have the custom programming working, but I have limited options for programs. The 5 mode is very popular .002 moon low, .09 low, .8 medium, 1.75 high, 3.55 turbo with memory.

I have a limited number of Green XREs and single mode 3-18 volt or .3-3.5 volt drivers for hunting. These are driven at 1.5 amps around 200 lumen and are $22 plus shipping.

I have some Nanjg 105c drivers with two extra 7135 chips added giving 3.55 amps max with the custom 5 mode program for sale $10 shipped. (picture added)

I now have low input voltage .3 - 3.5 volt 19 mode or single mode drivers allowing stable current output from .3 - 3.5 volts with adjustable output via a pot screw that is accessible with no disassemble. These are ideal for single CR123 or AA powered drop ins.

$25 is a very good price for these. These are Nailbender drop-ins in everything but who put them together.

Thanks it costs me $17 bucks for the parts so I am making $5 bucks for an hours work. Once a couple people buy them and see how good of a job I do I think there might be some interest if not oh well it was worth a try and I enjoy making them that's why I do it.

I should call them Budgetbenders.

Any idea on approximate lumen output, compared to, say, the Manafont Ultrafire 3-mode XM-L dropin?

I would estimate they are in the 700 to 800 lumen range. I started building these for fun and I realized they do a couple things better than the Manafont/Ultrafire (M/U) drop ins.

I have to tell you for the money the M/U drop ins cannot be beat. I have bought six of them so far, but there were a couple of things I thought that could use improvement.

Originally I started making 1A tint drop ins because they appeared as bright as the M/U drop in while pulling 1/2 amp less so they are perfect for a smaller host like a 501A were heat sinking is an issue or for use with a 16340 battery you won't stress it as bad. I recently started making 1D tint drop ins so I decided to sell some of the 1A tint ones I am replacing with 1D. There is no money to be made doing this I just do it because I enjoy making these.

First of all the M/U drop ins are very bright 800+lumens. I have no way of measuring lumens except by taking amperage readings and extrapolating a number from there. The maximum amperage draw on the M/U drop ins is inconsistent it varies from drop in to drop in as well as the variation in tint from drop in to drop in both of these factors plays a huge role in the overall appearance of maximum brightness.

Visibly to my eye the M/U drop in appears brighter but do to tint variation some seam even brighter than others. The 1A tints on the ones I make actually appear to have a slightly hotter hot spot than the M/U drop in were the 1D tint the hot spot is a lot less than the M/U. The M/U has some variation in maximum amperage draw from drop in to drop in. I have measured up to .5 amp variation between my six with the same battery. Mine have no variation they all pull 2.8 amps on high as long as the battery can deliver 2.8 amps it will and that makes battery life more consistent and they generate less heat on high.

The PWN on the M/U drop in on medium and low is very pronounced, if you point one at a fan it is clearly visible. The ones I make have no visible PWN to me, but this is very subjective.

The biggest improvement to me is in mode arrangement. The mode arrangement on the M/U drop in is High, Medium, Low so if you started on Low you go right to High and blind yourself. The mode arrangement on mine are Low, Medium, High which makes more sense especially with such a blindingly bright High mode.

Edit: These drop ins can handle 6 volts the Manafont/Ultrafire can only handle 4.2 volts so these can be used with 2 CR123s making them perfect for use as a car light that can handle the high heat of being left in a vehicle.

Thanks for offering these, E1320. Regulated drop-in's or xml's in general that are regulated simply don't exist on the market. Let us know if ever do more of them with the 1D tint, you should have no trouble selling them. I would get a 1A but for I already have too many WC's.

E: Have you considered reprogramming the drivers? I bet if you'd offer to program the drivers to suit the buyer's need one could sell the dropins at CPF for $60 or more. Kind of a custom thingy, u know. The needed gear costs couple of dozen dollars, max $50 if you go for quality SOIC clip.

I flash all my drivers with modified Tido's BLF-VLD software and anything else just won't do anymore. Having the possibility to arrange the modes and power levels just to your own liking is just the best thing ever. Think of a XML light that would go from less than one lumen up to 700. No flashies (unless wanted). 3 or 4 modes. If you want to change the mode order or levels you could do it by tapping the switch. Sounds too good to be true? Well, I have a table full of them. Of course Tido might have something to say about using his code for commercial purposes. But you could make your own code. That stuff can be learned from the web. I'm not saying it's easy, but it's doable.

I have considered it but the Nanjg drivers are so close to perfect for me it doesn't seam worth the trouble the only thing I would do is make the low a little lower. Honestly I probably will do this eventually when I get board I like to tinker to much and this does sound really cool. I am not doing this to make money I just wanted to get rid of some of the 1A tint drop ins I made for myself so I could replace them with 1Ds. I make 5 at a time so if enough people want them I will make 5 extra D tints. I am sure I could figure out how to write a simple program if I needed to I took a programming class in college it was a requirement.

I sent you a 1A and a 1D XML emitter drop in today, let me know what you think when you get them. Just an FYI it was $5 dollars to ship 2 drop ins clear across the country. I only have one 1A drop in left. I got rid of a couple locally everyone who sees these in person wants one. I have 5 more blank drop ins coming next week if anyone wants to reserve one I can part with some 1Ds.

I just wanted to add that I forgot that these drop ins can handle 6 volts so 2 CR 123s is not a problem, which is great if you want to make a light to leave in your vehicle exposed to high heat.

It's all released under the GNU GPL. You're free to do with it whatever you want, as long as you're willing to license any derivative work under the GPL and to provide the source code upon request.

I just wanted to say real quick that i received my two dropins on saturday. i havent gotten a lot of time to play with them nor do i have a lot of time to write a review but ill say at first glance, these are top notch. For the price these are being offered at they are a steal. ill be back with a review later.

Thanks Bob you are correct the Manafont, DX and KD XM-L drop ins all have a multicolored corona. My drop ins have a even colored smooth beam all the way across. I should have parts to do another batch of XM-L 1Ds next week and some XP-G 3Ds also if anyone is interested.
