Please read post # 64, just in case you have not.

Thats what led to the questions. It doesnt answer them.
Well one is answered. It IS pot luck whether or not you get the corrected version, you will ONLY know once you have it in your hands, not before. It must be switched on to see the firmware revision number. Although Dora could switch each one and tell us. But I have not seen that posted as the case so Ill assume its not the updated version until I hear differently.

And the other question is not answered as only Henry Xu can answer it. Basically in Point #4 of post #64 Henry Xu disagrees with HKJs assessment. I was wondering if Henry had actually read the review, or just a list of highlighted points that someone may have sent to him.

Im not saying he is wrong, but it would be nice to know if he disagrees based on the review, or a dot point.

Well, the dealer would actually have to plug it in and watch the display show 2.0 before shipping it. (although to some dealers it’s not as easy as it sounds, lol)

Today, Dora of Gearbest has confirmed that they have the updated firmware V2.0 version of the BT-C3100 and a sample will be sent to HKJ for a quick review. HKJ is already aware of this and will be waiting for it.

I think the choices are only US and EU plugs. Perhaps you have to use an US/EU to UK plug, or a universal plug adaptor?

Quick look on Ebay shows adapters are cheap if it doesn’t come with one it’s not an issue
thanks tatasal

Nice info link there about the universal adapter for UK. In our place we also have that but ours is the universal (female) to US-type. Thanks

Dora, my contact person in this gb, was on sick leave since Friday. Before going on sick leave Friday, she Skyped me that she will be reporting for work Monday, April 28th, HK-time. I will ask her on that date the coupon code to be used, and will be posted in this thread.

Yes. Tomorrow Dora of Gearbest is expecting to receive the new power supply. Then it will be sent to HKJ for a quick review.

I hope it is a complete charger, not only the power supply.

Funniest thing I read all day.

In for 2 pending HKJ review.

I would buy it if someone could confirm that there really is working internal switch to charge up to 4.35v. :/

I found this pic! . It’s shame that this switch is really hard accessible.

I’m in for 1x, USA Plug. Hopefully HKJ’s testing shows a measurable improvement on some of his concerns.

No problem. With the firmware upgrade to V2.0, a complete set was instead sent.

Perhaps this link can answer your question: (excerpts below about the 4.35V)

http://www.mountainprophet.de/2014/03/15/preview-akkulader-opus-bt-c3100/

Since I always have some battery tests are missing for dampfakkus.de with 4.35V, I have tested quite extensively also to 4.35V mode of Opus. The batteries were reliably and accurately charged to the specified voltage 4.35V without any further problems, no matter in which slot and also at 4 * 1A full occupancy. As expected then showed the battery (of course only those that have been certified to this high charge voltage!) In the discharge curves corresponding results. The 4.35V mode is therefore not a marketing gimmick, but brings with suitable batteries a real added value in the form of better voltage curve and increased capacity over the entire duration of the discharge. In the handling of the Opus is anyway to worlds more comfortable than the Cotton Picker loader previously used by me.
LiFePo I have not tested because I do not have LiFePo batteries.
