I have been in love with this light since the first time I seen it with the Q5 emitter but it has been sold out of every vendor I tried. This has me so excited that it is now available with an R5 and through manafont! I am with everyone else though it does need at least a low. I will be ordering it next week none the less and will replace the driver myself.

KD have had it for a couple of weeks but for about 2usd more. BTW it takes 10440's as well as AAA's even though Manafont don't say so.

Well the Official Ultrafire Shop lists the A2 R5 as 10440 capable. But the earlier Q5 version was not, so I think it is only this R5 version that is.

Even though these vendors don't list this torch out of stock none of them have it...I tried them all months ago. I tried ebay too and I finally got an email from the guy that is supposed to be a reaplier stating that it was discontinued. But now I can rest easy since manafont has it and with an upgraded led too! Edit...I see they are listed as sold out now. >

it's NOT sold out at manafont... and you're right ....it is sold out at cnqualitygoods

I bet if you wait a few weeks it will be 3.00 cheaper at DX.... DX is usually only a week or so behind manafont ..you can request it at DX too.

Roger that. I'm glad manafont has picked up this torch. I just know I tried the other vendors listed and best offer buy and ebay. I couldn't get cnqualitygoods to get past my maware programs. No one was ever able to supply me the q5 version none the less. I'm very glad manafont got this and with an upgraded led too. We can count on them....Im sure...

If the chinese manufacturers weren't so dumb they'd be the ones making the money instead of these >$50 a light foreign companies. Seriously, a market flooded with colorless WC tint lights and strobes, you'd think they might stop for a moment and think about this.

I was wondering: if you replaced the tailcap spring with for example a short, thick metal pin and placed a QTC pill behind the driver in the center of a piece of foam or rubber...

Boaz, once you get yours, can you post how you find the quality and the length of the threads for this kind of mod? (It looks good in the pictures, but is it smooth with tight tolerances?)

I bought a few f23 trustfires for 11$ and have enjoyed them ..figured this isn't much more for a better emitter . so even if I mod it i'll have a xpg to toss into one of the F23's ..I'm getting into S.S.
