Can anyone recommend me a good dual USB car charger, I need it to be able to charge a note 3 and an S4 at the same time and at full power, so I need at least 2A per port.
What do you all suggest? Thanks!
The Samsung charger for the Note 3 runs a slightly higher voltage, 5.33V on mine. That extra .3V does make a difference. Samsung also applies a sensing voltage to the data pins on the USB port out of the charger that the phone/tablet reads to know when it’s connected to a proper Samsung charger capable of supplying higher current. Apple dose the same thing, but uses a different voltage.
To charge a Note 3, or a Samsung tablet, at it’s fastest rate requires a charger with the proper Samsung voltage on the data leads as well as high current capability.
I have not seen one for the car, but here is one for the house with a dedicated Samsung port that does have the required sense voltage on the data leads.
