vestureofblood,
I was very happy with the way your last group buy worked out. Everything went smooth and I got my light in perfect condition and a timely manner. Glad to see you are doing another one.
Thats a good question Bort. I have never dissected one of these before, I'm hoping it has at least some boost capability ( like my other nitecores), but I cant say for certain. If anyone else happens to know please chime in :)
I am pretty sure your correct. That is what it says on the manufacturer web page is XM-L U2.
I will say that in spite of them using gen one LEDs, they lumen output numbers I have seen from them so far are very realistic. I tested one of the MT2As in my own sphere and it came within a hand full of lumens of what was printed on the box (280). I'd say any discrepancy there was due to my sphere is home made from a $20 light meter :)
OK this is really one of the more embarrassing moments in my life. I have realized I dont have time to fully execute this buy before I leave for my honeymoon in a few days. As a result we're going to have to postpone this.
I am refunding the money that was sent to me once I finish this message and PM will be sent along too. I will be back in late June from vacation and we will revisit it then.
Again I am very sorry about this. I guess on the bright side since interest in this light was low, casualties are very minimal :)
