$22.00 CR123 SK98?!?!?!

You have GOT to be kidding me!

Shameless…

Hey, that custom silk-screening to put the labels on the crap costs money!
I’ve seen them pricier.

Apart from the shape, this really isn’t anything like an SK68. It has superior build quality, a superior finish, an IPX-8 rating and has a standard reflector/fixed beam.

Almost every popular budget light is a clone of something else, to one degree or another, and I’m pretty sure that this is essentially the “original” SK68.

Probably a worthy addition to any SK68 collection to be honest. Not for me though since it’s CONUS shipping only for this deal. I’d have to pay way too much to get one to Australia.

It looks similar in shape but I don't think its a Zoomie..

I would like to see a two mode SK##s running on 1 X CR123 with an old XPG for around $7.

I would buy a bunch.

It’s not a zoomie, it only resembles the sk68 looks.
I thought Sipik was the original sk68?

It kind of looks like this, but with 3 modes:

FYI, the Richuang one has a TIR lens and smallish pill, but it’s fairly easy to mod (I’ve done several triples with it).

Actually, this is a more true-to-life clone of the Nitecore Extreme than the Sipiks are.

That was the first flashlight of this design.

Interesting. Phoebus and Nitecore are both US companies and I can’t believe that Phoebus would be bold enough to copy the Nitecore light so precisely without some sort of legitimate arrangement. Perhaps one was acting as the OEM for the other. It is after all the sort of thing that goes on all the time in many different industries.

EDIT: Correction. Nitecore is a Chinese company. I was misled by their “Portable Lights American Trade Organization” membership (whatever that is). I guess you don’t need to be a US company to be a member. Anyway, Phoebus on the other hand are indeed a US company, and have been in the lighting manufacturing business since 1974 apparently. So it wouldn’t surprise me if the NS-3 was the original after all. It would be kinda strange for a company with their own flashlight manufacturing facilities to have flashlights made by someone else (but not beyond the realm of possibility I guess).
