Best Charger for a noob, I want to charge 18650 and 26650's

as per the title. is there a best charger under $50 for 4 batteries… current charger takes 12.5 hours to charge 4000 mah 18650’s its a cheap charger setup to charge 2 batteries in parallel at 650ma, so thats 325 per battery. slow!

I’m thinking the new xtar or the dreamcharger.

What about two Xtar SP2 ’s? One of only a few non-hobby chargers that can charge at 2A and allows to fit two 26650s comfortably.

edit: changed the link. On another note, if the link doesn’t work, is it really that difficult to search for the model yourself?

dunno, the url doesnt work for some reason though.

Ive got a few chargers and this is my favourite

how about a Soshine SC-S1max V3?

your link dont work either.

I’m kinda leaning towards the opus dreamcharger. it has most of what I want in a charger.

delete the /quote from the end of the link. or just google it.

For my main charging needs I use side by side Xtar SP2. I rarely use my VP1 anymore. I think the SP2 is one of the finest out there, bar none.

Efest LUC V4. Up to 2A on (2) 26650's.

It certainly seems to offer a lot for the price, but don’t be too disappointed when you find out those 4000 mAh 18650’s aren’t anywhere close to that. Not sure which new Xtar you’re referring to though. You might also consider the LiitoKala Lii-260. Test/Review of Charger LiitoKala Engineer Lii-260

It’s only a 2 cell charger, but it’s also only half the price of the Opus BT-C3100. I just ordered one on ebay a couple of days ago for $21, which seems to be about the normal price, so 2 of those cost about the same as a C3100. I also have the C3100 and am mostly happy with it, but wanted another inexpensive charger analyzer to compare with. I also have a Nitecore I4 and Xtar VP1, but both have their drawbacks. The I4 seems to charge well all the way to 4.2V, but is slow and the VP1 terminates charging at around 4.15V and is only a 2 cell charger and neither do any cell testing. At the current prices and with your budget, I wouldn’t buy a non-analyzing charger, especially if you’re going to be using questionable cells.

Efest LUC V4 or Opus.

I have a Pila IBC, an iCharger (hobby charger) and a Maha C9000.

You can all have the features of those 3 chargers in one charger with analyzer function like a hobby charger: the Opus BT-C3100, at far less money than the combined cost of the 3.

i4

With the group buy (but now can be ordered without entering the group buy) the Opus is under 40€

Hardly available when it was reviewed by chloe and hkj, the group buy is now above 200 buyers.

or i2 for not so much more than $10.—
But they do 500mA per channel, which may be a bit low for a 26650…

I do have a turnigy 6 cell charger. but no way to easily charge these… so I want a seperate charger. so I think I will go with a opus charger. and will invest in some good 26650 cells to go with this flash light. I will prolly end up ordering 6 cells total of the 26650. maybe not all at once though…

I recently bought some chargers to give as gifts to noobs, along with a flashlight. I went with Nitecore I2. Decent charger and good value. I had a Pila IBC before, but it didn’t take 26650.

I will most likely get an analyzing charger, but will wait a while until something better than the current offerings appear on the market. It seems that there still is some room for improvements in that area.

almost always room for improvements

I’m pondering building my own flashlight for entry into the handmade contest… gonna put a microcontroller in it for dimming via pot and some other stuff…

Probably a bad idea, but I got a bunch of the 4056 modules on eBay. They seem pretty fast, about about 900ma, some of them, I think? Not sure how good they are, better than my others it seems. I’m a noob, too
