I'm looking for those new dive lights and this one looks like it could have a spot in my BC. I like the bright color and the lanyard. Plus I've got a ton of AA NiMh's looking for a home.

Thanks again,

Ron

Where do you do most of your diving Ron? I live in Seattle and do a lot of diving here in the PNW. If you haven't seen it (it's been around for a while) there is a fairly bulletproof Ultrafire light called the W200 at DX for $37 you might want to check out. It uses 3 AA's and has a XR-E in it for a tightly focused beam. It's good as a backup or when you need to cut through limited visibility.

If you mainly dive in clearer waters on vacation it might not be something that you would be interested in however.

It's a twist on/off light by the way but there are 3 o-rings at that junction and another 3 behind the front glass lens (which is 5 mil thick).

I live on the island of Guam, sandwiched between the Philippine ocean and the Pacific. The water goes from the mid 80's on the surface to the lower 80' at depth. Maybe upper 70's very deep. I live in close proximity to some killer diving...

That being said, there are many drawbacks living in such a remote place. We have only the local dive shops to purchase from. They are in it for the $$$. Then we have the internet. It takes forever, if at all, for many things to be shipped here via USPS, which is the only option. I remember one Xmas we sent out gifts, and my mother in law got them! The next August!!!

DX just saw your post and upped the price to $38.50. LOL. I have a test order going on with them right now. If it works out I'll be ordering from them again, and maybe again and again...

Thank you, I'll research that DX 200 more.

It seems that Xeccon's D series are specialized for diving, your batteries may find their home there.

Thanks, my AA's may find a home after all, but what about the 18650 I picked up today? LOL. That makes 5 and I don't have a single light to put them in! I got a cheapo to compare to the Flame 2400's I have on order. Another battery, another light... Yeah.

The length of time it takes to get these lights from manafont, DX and Solarforce just may break me!

I added this after looking at those Xeccons. They are very cool but are way out of my budget. Too bad.

I'm hunkering down for a bit I guess. The fun has to stop sometime, otherwise there wouldn't be a heaven.

Ron

If you need a dive light to put two 18650's in go to DX and look at:

This is what I use as a primary dive light.
