We are talking here about “topping” off a Lead Acid battery that is just under being capable of turning over the engine.
A Lead Acid battery at 0% is ruined.

That is why it is a mistake to let the starter go into full stall when trying to start a car. All that does is drain the battery even more.
As soon as that happens, use this. It is your last chance. Drain the battery too low before using this and you’re not going to be successful.

I’ll keep that in mind

Part of it could be how a lead acid battery charges, the idea of a surface charge. Almost dead to can start a car isn’t a big step, the battery just has no real reserve beyond a few seconds.

Still a bit dim

This bulb has been driving me CRAZY for months now. It’s a BIG LED bulb and was originally $80. Months ago it hit the “6” price and then the “3”. I would have thought it would have gone to a penny by now, in fact I have taken one up many many times over the last few months hoping……..
Here it is, 300W replacement and boasting 3300 lumens. It does have a large, non standard base, so it would not simply screw into an Edison E37 socket. But who cares, I just want one to rip apart.

Here are some other deals going on.
This Makita bit set just hit the 3 price, 75% off

This is a bucket fan. I would call this a Red Neck airconditioner. Put it on a bucket of ice and blow chilled air around.
Was $100, but is now $40.04. They claim $100 but I know it was $79.95, that’s why the “4” price (50% off) is $40.04

When it hits $20.02, I’m in! This uses and includes a Ryobi compatible battery and charger.

I am seeing the Ridgid compressors at some HD’s at full price. Most stores are cleaned out at the $75.03 price

This same store has the floor jack and jack stand combo at full price.

AND
The “hearse” lady has a load of old stock.
Or is THAT what they do with anyone caught penny shopping Sick

I was interested in that too.
It has an E27 base with an adapter. You can screw it into an E27 socket.

I KNOW you have been interested in that bulb, you have been posting pictures as the price went down.
I am reposting YOUR pictures.

Now mine again….

Everyone should note the progression in the prices. It goes from full price, $79.97
To the “00” price of $59.00
Then the “6” price of $47.06
Then the “3” price of $20.03

I AM WAITING FOR THE PENNY PRICE, c’mon already!

I think it will get gobbled up as soon as it hits a penny, hopefully you can go to the store several times a day between now and a cent

The problem is that bulb should have already gone to a penny over a month ago. It doesn’t quite follow the rules.
It’s date IS old enough, and during the last month I must have marched one up to the checkout 25 times!

Well, if you look on the US web site you won’t see it either.
It’s on clearance.

Unless we are talking about something at full list price, it will NOT be on the web site.

True enough, often things you bought at a penny are still full price here.
Those 1500 lumen daylight bulbs you got for a penny still sell for $9.99 here, they even released a new two bulb package of the same bulbs after you bought yours at a penny.

Getting back to the floor jack and jack stand combo. Today I was in the HD that had them on the floor for $60.06. Remember now that all other stores have them at full list of $109. I did find one store that has 6 in the overhead and at THAT store they are on clearance at an even $75.
Of course the store that had them at $60.06 was out of stock, at that price they would easily sell through. Anyway, I went up to customer service and asked them to check stock. When they did, I snapped this picture.
#1001-650-920

Also, I saw an unattended price markdown cart and got a preview of some reductions to come?
Looks like Titan car batteries are getting the “3” price (75% off)

In an ongoing effort to make California feel bad, I can confirm that the Ridgid compressor above is still at full price at my local Bay area store. We rarely get nice things! (But thanks for the easy-print barcode nonetheless.)

These Bluetooth Speaker – Lanterns that just a couple of weeks ago went from $15.04 to $7.52 have just gone to a penny.
I was lucky enough to find one.

And the Artic Breeze fan that I just posted about going to $40.04 has just hit $20.02. The “4” and “2” prices change quickly

The included battery and charger. They are Ryobi compatible but the included charger is a wall wart. Takes 10 hours to charge the battery.

Don’t fret anyone, everyday stuff goes to a penny!

BTW, I just now noticed on the bottom of the package of that speaker.

“Rich STEREO sound”

I don’t know how that can be, it only has one speaker!

Maybe the engineer that designed it is named Richard Stereo, yeah that must be it.

And I think these are the best homedepot penny deal related posts anywhere in the internet; especially dchomak’s posts – can’t get any better.

Agreed, I tried searching for others when I was trying to figure out why my local stores never seemed to have the deals I saw on here. I could not find anything lose to dchomak’s level of dedication and information.

Now if only my local stores would get lazy and allow deals to actually drop like they should….

I saw some of that stuff awhile back when it first went on clearance. Nice to know it pennied out.?

This past weekend I traveled 200+ miles into Pennsylvania for a wedding. I made the mistake of traveling through New York on Friday afternoon during rush hour Sick At one point it took me 4 hours to travel 20 miles.
My purpose for that was to visit the World’s Largest Home Depot, located in Vauxhall, NJ
I tried to take a picture of the store in the parking lot. Standing from the furthest part, this all of the store I could get in the shot. BTW, all these pics will be at 100% width for effect.
It was late, very late due to my 4 hour traffic jam.

The only way I could get a full shot of the store, it is huge, is from google earth. I measured the length and width, not including the garden section, and it looks like there is 230,000 square feet of retail space.

When you first walk in you come upon the Customer Service area. Count them, there are 6 employees back there.

Turning to my left is a shot of the store in it’s shorter wing. Notice there is a full size Dunkin Donuts store left most with seating and tables.

Turning to the right is the even longer wing of the store. Notice that there are 18 checkout registers! As I said, it was late and from what I can see in this picture, only register 16 is lit. That was the self checkout register and it had 4 self checkout terminals.

Actually, those checkouts only go down to 11 in this part of the store. There is a large gap and then registers 1 thru 10 are much further down. So far down that in this picture they disappear into the horizon.
Just to the right of Customer Service is the Automotive section. I made a bee line for that as I wanted to check and see what they had. Other stores do not have an automotive section.

Car batteries were full price, but the first I noticed was this.

I posted a couple of weeks ago about the 6000 pound REESE hitches and how they had gone to a penny and replaced by identical looking 7000 lb hitches. In all I have previously found 5 at a penny.
Well this store had a bunch of both, so I grabbed a couple and brought them up to self checkout. They scanned at full price, $29.97. What the….? My heart sank as I was bringing them back. I thought this store is so HUGE, they NEVER have to clear out anything. THEY HAVE SO MUCH SPACE.
The next thing I came across sort of confirmed what I was thinking.

In the cleaning section, next to automotive hangs both the 6’ telescoping poles AND the 9’ telescoping poles. Each on their hook with their price. A month or so ago, the 9’ poles went to a penny. I have been finding them at stores because they look just like the non clearanced 6’ poles. I look for the 2 white rings as the 9’ has 3 sections and the 6’ just 2. When I saw that display I thought to myself, see that not cleared out and still for sale a full price. I took one anyway and brought it up to scan. A penny! So I went back and rounded them all up and checked out.
It was getting really late now, close to closing time, so when I went back in I went right back to the cleaning section to look for items I know should be a penny.

Mops and poles. A couple of weeks ago the RubberMaid mop pole and cotton mop combos went to a penny. They were replaced with new stock. Old stock that went to a penny have wide red bands at the heal of the mop. The new stock have black heals.
Here is the first of 4 I pulled from in back of the display. What a tangled mess of poles and mops that display was.
On the left is the penny item, on the right $16.97

At this point it was too late to “walk the store”, it would take hours anyway. In automotive I saw this and it confirms what
Bc412 mentioned a few days ago, the Black and Decker stuff is on clearance in other States. Notice the “4” price, in about 3 weeks it will go to half of this and then to a penny. I got the boosters at an even $20, looks like this time they will go to $17.52, or more likely $18.02
