So… Cool white or Neutral white for me?
I own an XM-L2 U2 1A and I like the tint. But it’s right on the edge of being too blue for me. So is the cool white version cooler than an XM-L2 U2 1A?

In that case I guess you'll like CW better. The NW is quite warm, on the edge of being too warm for many people.

Thank you, that confirms what I was thinking.
I have a few questions, sorry if they were already answered:
1- What is the current draw on an Eneloop AAA? (I saw the specs on GB but I don’t trust them :D)
2- Is the output lumens regulated/constant like in a 7135 based flashlight?
3- What is the approximate runtime to 50% brightness with an Eneloop?
4- Did somebody test the efficiency vs input voltage characteristic of the driver?

I don't have any real eneloop AAAs at the moment, but I tried with two other NiMH cells:
- one with 1.25V voltage did draw 0.63A
- other with 1.33V did 0.57A

Haven't had time to investigate or test any of these, but I bet someone will chime in and answer, as there are so many sold already.. Smile

Considering many of those from that GB have shipped out via DHL and many other people received their orders from this GB, that is not really fair…

Having said that, I’m not happy about the fact that I’m still waiting for my July 8 order as well…

Exactly, I also dont want any ‘special’ help from GB. They emailed me said it was sent and thats all they can do. They cant track it, nor can I. Either they lied or its on its way still. I always have PP to cover me if I dont get it so nbd if I was lied to. This was GBs only chance from me so I guess its in their hands on if I return ever or not.

GB promised to send me a resend for the defective light.
And I was planning on buying 2 more, ended up with 2 more NW and 2 CW. Will definitely make some people happy with them.

Oh gearbest gearbest GARBAGEbest…..you are killing me! Gearbests website CLEARLY states 6-14 business day delivery to the US. Granted I know it may be slightly over depending on when the plane leaves and customs. Contacted them to get an answer to where my package is and they give me this BS response (paraphrase)-orderstake 15-45 BUSINESS DAYS to arrive in the USA. Pleasewait for it to arrive and use reference number blah to jelp with details. FIRST OFF THOSS REF NUMBERS ARE USELESS!

hmmm BULLSPIT! NEVERhas it taken more than 3 weeks to get a package from HKPost. Gearbest is trying to say 45 business days so they can avoid pp disputes. Too bad we arent that dumb to fall for that stuff. Someone is getting on my last nerve and im pretty sure ill be oping a claim if it doesnt arrive within a few days. Already not buying fro the again, fed up with lies and trickery. The OP has nothing to do with this and has been awesome wjth all his work. Gb just sucks IMO.

PLEASE pardo, horrible grammar, on my phone and ticked off at GB so not caring too much abiut it

Edit-just to clear something up before I get bashed for this post. If I do open a clai and win (first off its not about the money, its the principle begind this) amd then recieve the item, I will be sendi NH the payment back to GB. Im not looking to ‘scam’ soeone someone out of $5 or be a jerk. Im juat fed up with foreign sellers and constantly being lied to. It seems evwryone is doing it no matter who they are or their reputation. Im done with foreign sellers, gave it a shot for a year, saved some decent cash nut had too any headaches. Not worth it anymore!

Hi Livinloud,

I’m sorry for your problem, the system of our website is that if your order cost under $40 it won’t generate a tracking number or you have ticked to pay for a tracking info (which may cost you $1.99), and if it didn’t generate a tracking number our support also can’t get your tracking informations for you. We’re sorry for it being late but we have surely shipped your post, and it will arrive certainly. If it doesn’t arrive truly in 45 (from the shipping date) days I’m really sorry and you can apply to return your payment. Could you please PM me your order number? If it has the tracking information maybe I can help you to check it, if there is not neither I can help you sorry :_( I beg your patience to wait it will arrive, if there is still any problem you can always PM me to ask for our support.
Really sorry for it troubled you, hope this reply can help you dear my friend :_(

I’ve received my CW a week ago. The NW one arrived this week. Ordered both within few minutes after the coupon was posted, in 2 different orders. The NW was in a worse condition than CW, dirty threads and inner side of the battery tube, a scratch on the head (but not on the bezel) like if it was rubbed few times against something rough, not too bad but noticeable when looking closer. It also starts flashing randomly after some time.
The NW is really warm, not as warm as my 2700K CFL bulb, but not much colder.

The lights compared to other NW tints (NW light, CW light, 4B, 3C):

The colors are not exact, but lets you get the idea how warm it is.

Thank you very much as I was wondering how the color temperature compares to Xm-L LEDs.

My patience is wearing thin. I ordered on July 3rd and still haven’t got it yet. I am in US. Really shouldn’t take that long.

The $5.55 price was confirmed by Gearbest to be a pricing error => Back to $5.99 now. However, the price difference is so small that they will (most probably) ship also the ones ordered with wrong price.

About delivery time: Most of my lights arrived in good time, but one of my CW lights ordered at the beginning of the GB arrived only two days ago. Unfortunately the China post (and other alternatives too) is mysterious and there's not much the merchant can do for it.

We all understand that once shipped its out of their hands but for them to CLEARLY LIST 6-14 business days on their wesite but as soon as you contact them through paypal they claim it takes 15-45 BUSINESS days……thats absolutely bull. They are saying that so we have to wait past the paypal claim window so they cant get hit with claims. Although they say if it take over 45 BUSINESS days that hey will refund your cost……..I dont believe that one bit after other issues with this.

Do they not realize 45 business days is almost 3 months! Heck I could have machined this light myself without a lathe in less time!

This is what gets me. Directly from their website…

6-14 business days to have it from the time of purchase to in my hands, yet every single time we do a group buy through this company, we hear the words “please wait 45 days for shipment to arrive.” But you quoted us at 6-14 business days, not 45. I’m on my 10th business day waiting, so I am well within the limit, but their tracking service still says “Shipment submitted” and nothing else. And I paid extra for a tracking number!

It really makes me appreciate the services we take for granted in the United States.

@Yourrid: I tried your tracking number on 17track, and here's what it said:

Destination Country - Usa

2014-08-01 10:00, Arrived at USPS Facility, FLUSHING, NY 11351

2014-07-30 18:53, Processed Through Sort Facility, ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS)

Thats exactly what I am saying. I didnt buy tracking for that exact reason also. It is so inconsistent with international shipping that its not worth it. Most of the time it doesnt update until the day after it arrives. They dont care to scan stuff, this isnt the USA so no one gives any cares. Thats also why im done with cheap international sellers, they just dont care anymore or ever.

Website says one thing but their CS always says something else. It cant be both, so one is a lie. Which one is a lie…..id put money on it being the PR CS reps here….
