Stop bragging, youngin!

Styx? Hmmm, think I’ve got a RECORD of their’s around here somewhere.

I’m pretty sure I bought a diamond needle to mount in the stylus….been a while, I’ve forgotten far more important things since then…
I used to buy a new album, slice the clear wrapping with a blade on top, slide the cardboard cover case out, slide the sleeve out, play the album while recording it to a cassette, then put it all back together carefully, sleeved album slit up in the cardboard case, slit up on the cellophane wrapper. Then I could listen to the cassette to my heart’s content and have a once played album safely stored away. TDK 90 minute tapes, an album on each side. Ah, those were the days! I had 13 speakers in my ’74 Comet, Alpine deck, triple amps, Altec Lansing amplified sub-woofer…first of it’s kind in Temple. That little car rocked! Let’s see, Jensen Triax II’s on each side of the Altec in the rear deck, Sony full range 6 1/2”‘s in a custom install in the front floorboard kick panels, Jensen separates glued to the windshield, covered on the outside by black and gold stickers that read “This vehicle protected by Smith & Wesson”. I know one of my amps had a 12 band dual channel EQ, One had a single 10 band, and one had dual channel 5 band, but I forget what brand they were. This was …hmmm…‘77-‘78?
Did I have a flashlight? LOL A bit later, in ’87, I had the first MagLight D’s that came out. Wasn’t there a yellow Ray-O-Vac with black bezel before that? 2 D’s, exquisitely designed to catch the acids from the alkaline cells? Would I have bought a “Yezl Y3” back then? Probably would have tipped a Jack n Coke and laughed at the name.
Oh well, I’ve definitely got one coming NOW! And a few things to add to it when it gets here. Now, if I can only remember the plan…
Steve, make sure I don’t fall in the ice chest ok?
Location: A light beam away from the missus in the land of Aus.
I hope you don't mind my foot in the ice chest as I sprained it again in that darned hole in your backyard. Just look out for the muddy spot near the hole now.
I plan to do a straight led swap to start with and compare it to the HD2010 which should be running around the same current. Last time I checked it was around 2.7 amps at the tailcap. If I'm happy with it I'll do nothing more.

Hey guys, here’s some clothespins for your noses while you’re drinkin, Steve’s got his foot in the dang ice chest again! <cough…ugh!
I’m wanting to try that new bin for the MT-G2, so I’ll put one in it when Richard get’s a hold of some. If I can remember to keep checking. I might try another SBT-70 if I get a wild hair. And find all the coin Steve keeps losing in the yard when he falls. Gonna have to charge up the electric scooter for you dude, you’re dangerous walking around loose.

Just making sure I’m on the same page here: You’re talking about swapping to an MT-G2 using either 2x or 3× 26650, right?

I’m sure everyone in this convo knows this but to anyone else reading thinking about modding their Y3’s with MT-G2’s using a Zener modded BLF driver… Make sure when your not using the light you “lock it out” with the tail clicky (i.e. simply turn the switch off) the Zener drivers have unacceptable stand-by drain.
Another benefit of the tail clicky/side e-switch combo is with a single tap of the reverse clicky you can go directly to off from any mode on any FW since it cuts power, not just ones specifically for combo switch setups.
ETA: still planning on grabbing one Saturday when my check clears if they last, not looking good tho.

RIP SPC Joey Riley, KIA 11/24/14. Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds.
Dale, I’ll make you a deal.
You teach me about flashlights. I’ll teach you about audio equipment.
The diamond, sapphire or ruby is on the end of the stylus which goes in the cartridge (MC or MM), which is connected to the thigh bone, Wait that’s not right.
I’ve still got a couple of boxes of TDK-MA90’s and an Aiwa-810 cassette deck with . . . . . remote control!
Want to trade for a cheap flashlight?
You’re scaring me. You sound like me at about the same time. I used to install the stuff.
5 cell Mag-Lites. More for the intimidation factor than anything else.
Ah, to be young and stupid again.
I’m serious about the flashlights. I got a Boruit 616 in today and it looks like a fair candidate for a mod.
Thought I saw a thread about it here, but can’t find it now. Good build quality but with some problems.
Anyway I dropped in a Ultrafire 18650 3000mah that was all I have on hand. (KK 26650’s and Samsung 25-R’s coming)
Maybe 1000 lumens total. Took it apart. Hell, time for bed.
To be continued.

Are anyone else’s orders still on hold? Both of mine say “confirmed, payed, unshipped” as of this morning.
I ordered yesterday. My order also shows “Confirmed,Payed,Unshipped”, but I don’t know if that’s because I missed the boat on getting shipped with everybody else or just because the system doesn’t reflect the actual status of the order.
EDIT: just noticed that Ric is using E-package for US customers. That’s great!
sweet. I’m not in a huge hurry or anything… just wanted to make sure mine didn’t get lost. placed my first order almost two weeks ago. I haven’t even ordered 26650 batteries for the two lights yet from RMM.

I to have my tracking number. Tracking numbers as a rule take a few days to update. The lights were despatched on the 7.8.14 or 8.7.14 depending on what part of the world you live in. The lights did despatch a lot later than I first thought they would be due mainly to the late inclusion of AR lenses.
Maybe if I did this again I would not allow any changes from when the group buy starts or put a disclaimer in the OP that changes may happen if there was enough interest. In this case there was a lot of interest in the lenses which took longer than expected to get made. I'm sure Ric would agree with my thoughts here.

Original Lens and AR lens are included in the package.

Audiophile horror! Stylus, Dale, not needle. H)
I had 10 feet of vinyl until my daughter managed to lose or destroy them when I was away one year, or was it 2 years. :_(
Fortunately I had good tapes of a lot and have found most of the rest in FLAC format.
Still miss that St. Saens organ symphony.
I've only used one of Bill Lear's inventions and it had wings.
