SK98 Broken Pocket Clip...

The clip on my SK98 broke today. It broke as I was exiting a vehicle, & was strange because it was clipped on my pocket, & didn't catch on anything.

I'm pretty bummed, because it is my EDC. The clip is a necessity for immediate deployment.

I don't really have any material on hand that is suitable to fabricate something out of...

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thank you kindly for your time.

If it was a smaller SK68 i have a couple spare clips for those, but not the larger SK98.

Thank you sir.

I thought of that too...

I like the construction of the SK68 clip, because it seems to be made of a better material, & has more meat in the spot where mine failed.

If your have a few basic tools you could try this.

Thank you sir.

That's exactly what I'll do.

I don't have any more S.S. TIG rods on hand, so I'll have to pick some up...

I used a similar method to fabricate some clips for my Milwaukee 12V cordless tools, so I wouldn't have to constantly set them down during use.

stainless clip addon at fasttech

It looks like it may be rounded so you might have to pound the clip part flat that bolts into the SK98

I took mine off my SH98, I might be able to ship it too you if you need it immediately

I kinda like wrist straps better than pocket clips…I always loose my pocket clip stuff

Thank you for the offer. If you have it, & aren't using it, I may take you up on it & reimburse you for shipping.

Have you ordered any of those particular clips?

If so, are they "stainless", or the real deal?

I really like the S.S. TIG wire mod, because I know it will be an easy, functional, & long lasting mod.

Yes I ordered one for a convoy S2 (not the S2+ it won’t fit) It worked well on it [I should have locktighted the threads on the screws]

I just ain’t hot on pocket clips

Let me see if I can find it or the stainless one and I will ship to you…I wonder if it would go ok in a regular envelope

Drop me a PM and we will see what we can do

where are you ?
