I’m going to gift a S2+ and some Sanyo protected 18650 to my father in law. But as this is his first 18650 light, I also want to get him a charger.
What am I looking for:
- 2 bay charger
- Should fit protected 18650’s
- Safety/won’t let the batteries explode (aka some decent quality)
Could you advice me what charger to get and maybe also from where?

I was in a similar situation a while ago. I ended up buying NiteCore I2 Intellicharger after discussions and recommendations here.

It also allows your father in law to charge other types of batteries.
And it is available from almost everywhere. Buy it when you buy the flashlight.

I think the nitecore above is the best option…

Light malls seems cheapest, but I think you must pay for shipping, so fast tech or bang good with BLF discount may still be best…

Ordered the Nitecore I2 from fasttech. They offer the carcharger for not much extra and the BLF code worked.
