Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. George Carlin

Todd Rundgren with a pretty famous song. Hello It’s Me. https://youtu.be/xwx849ymo1c This next one is the original when he was with Nazz. You rarely if ever hear this version. https://youtu.be/iLH-9fiCTU0

You may have heard it. If you haven’t heard the whole song you probably have heard the very beginning of it used for various purposes. Troglodyte. The Jimmy Castor Bunch https://youtu.be/I8_groGDdr8

"In My Life"

Performed by Laurence Juber

Here's a tasty version of the Beatles classic "In My Life."

Laurence Juber is a fingerstyle guitarist who is perhaps best known for his stint with Paul McCartney and Wings from 1978 to 1981.

For musicians: Check out the guitar lesson/analysis of "In My Life" posted to YouTube by Rick Beato.

Thanks for this.

I still miss Andy Goessling, the talented multi-instrumentalist (guitar, banjo, penny-whistle, saxophone, clarinet, etc.) of Railroad Earth, who passed away in 2018.

Anyone a fan of Carcass?
Been having nerve issues in my right arm which is severely aggrivated by playing guitar, pretty much forcing me to have to stop playing.
Figured Id record something “easy” and post it to youtube to be able look back on later and maybe show others what I used to be able to do.
Figured id share it here as well.

I dont currently own a guitar anymore.
Just this $5 yard sale bass I use to scratch the itch when I have the urge to play something.

Nice stuff. Thanks for putting yourself out there!

Right now I’m playing the Night Moves album by Bob Seger on vinyl. My stepdad has 2 crates of vinyls that are fortunately in decent shape, plus I’ve started buying my own.

I’m really enjoying listening to music this way, especially with my Audio Technica monitors.

“Waiting for the Sun” and “The Doors” albums by The Doors and a “Momentary lapse of Reason” by Pink Floyd. Those are my favorite vinyl records in my collection.

I hope they obtained permission from Leonard Cohen’s publisher to butcher his song for their purpose. He understandably didn’t write Christmas songs.

Hallelujah was written and recorded before 1984,
and Leonard Cohen was scammed into selling his song catalogue
(to Sony, IIRC) in 2001. So his estate has no rights to the song.

Yes, but my point was that I hope they got permission from the copyright holder to use his song.
