XTAR WK50 - New & Old Revision???

I recently bought 2 Xtar WK50 flashlights… one blue and one pink, however I noticed that there was a difference between the 2 I received.

Looking at the photos that users have posted reviews of the WK50, the pink one is the same design as the pictures, were as the blue one I received is different in a few ways.

- BLUE has thicker spring

- BLUE has different tailcap switch

- BLUE has more sensitive tailcap switch

- PINK WK50 has a reflector that gives off “rings” in the beam

  • PINK has a very slightly cooler led tint

Does anyone have any insight to which would be the “newer” revision?

Here are some pictures. You can see a faint “ring” around the spot of the beam compared to the other. This is a result of the reflector, which seem to match other user’s reviews of the WK50 on here.

Don’t know much about Xtar but Chinese manufacturers frequently substitute parts when they run out of something.

Wow that spring has almost succeeded in puncturing that battery.

My guess is the softer switch is the newer one . I think they had hard clicky issues people were complaining about .

Nice small 4 mode no flashies AA light .

it needs a 14500 capability and they were supposed to have no funky pwm ..But they do ..

cute light but it needs a better driver
