Place to buy a ZY-T13, TMart?

I want to get one and the recent dumping on of both Banggood and Wallbuys in the BG/Fenix thread has be suspicious of buying one from WB. It looks like the only [reputable] place that has any for the standard price is TMart, but the dealer ratings section warns against fake products from TMart. I found one on eBay, ostensibly here on American Soil for less than the WB/TMart price, and filter out all the negative feedback stemming from underwhelmed buyers buying cheap Chinese goods, seller has a 99%, but eeehhhh…

So, main point, Small Sun ZY-T13 from TMart, good to go?

If so, that is one of T-marts epay accounts.
Have bought many items from that account name, no problems.

The light arrived this morning.

So the T13 from eBay is gtg. Draws just under an amp from the 2x stack, throws brilliantly good, finish is as to be expected.

The driver looks familiar. Tailcap is purely a power switch and the driver has no memory. Medium is funnily close to high, but low is pretty nicely low. I did not expect the potting, but it shouldn’t pose a problem. Just have to figure out where the sense resistors are.

That’s a perfect host for the new XP-L.

I’m not so sure. The XP-L provides the same die surface area, but a smaller solder pad than the XM-L2. No increase in throw, but a decrease in heat transfer. I’ll stick with a XM-L2 for this one. :3

Though actually…honestly, I’m leaving a few of my lights stock [GASP!] Seriously, this throws really well and is decently bright. Same as my Trustfire X9 and my T08…I just don’t have a huge desire to mod them. I have my Small Sun T620 which draws 37 watts from the batteries, likely does 1400 otf, and is’t terribly brighter than the stock T08.

The T13 is still my favorite so far. XD

No reason to use XP-L anywhere a XML2 will fit, but also no rational reason not to use it, either. Like so many other things, the stuff that looks scary on paper doesn't affect how it works in real life.
