fasttech order - good dealings.

I ordered about $30 worth of parts and pieces from fasttech (to Canada) about the 10th of May this year. The order included two 14500 lilion batteries and was placed at the period of time in which there was a lot of changes (daily it seemed) in the regulations about shipping said items.

Fasttech shipped it and sent me tracking information on the 14th of May and the wait began. The tracking info stalled soon after fasttech delivered the parcel to the carrier and about the 10th of July I sent a message to fasttech asking about the order.

They responded that they would file a complaint with the post office and that there would likely be some delay but that if the parcel was confirmed as lost or returned they would refund me immediately.

Strangely enough the parcel turned up at my local post office the beginning of this week. Everthing was ok except that one led was smashed (it had likely happened in transit by the looks of distribution of the glass/plastic particles).

I notified fasttech and they immediately gave me a store credit for the ruined led - no questions asked.

Bottom line is that they were responsive to my concerns, did not exagerate or make promises that they could not keep and I will be happy to give them further business.

I do suspect that the parcel ended up in ground shipment (slow boat from China?) due to the batteries - however that certainly isn’t ft’s fault.

John.

It's nice to hear a happy customer story every now and then from all the bad ones.

It sounds like your a reasonably patient type of guy.

My wife may not qualify me as patient however over the years I’ve learned that getting frustrated over things I can’t control doesn’t do much good. I do feel sympathy for the online retailers trying to deal with the almost daily shipping requirements for lilon cells - can’t have been easy.

Bye for now,

John.
