You guys kill me.
You got a $75 Titanium Flashlight for $23.99 and now you want more money back just because the Manufacturer mislabeled the lights emitter option.
Then when $10 is offered that is not enough?
Really?

It’s not like they sent you a clone with a LatticeBright emitter with the blue light from hell.
Most of you already say you have another Tool with the Nichia, so use that one when you are feeling Artsy.

I got one and am happy as sin that it even showed up, I stole it at that price. Tint looks fine, XP-G2 is fine.

Ask yourself this question, If you got a special offer email from Gearbest and it said this:

“Dear valued customer, we have a Very Limited amount of Lumintop Tool Ti’s that the box has been mislabeled by the factory, they are Cree instead of Nichia.
They normally sell for $79.00 but we would like to offer you ONE of these for only $23.99.
When they are gone, they are gone for good, First Come first served. Please reply and order promptly using this code _____.”

Would you have jumped on that deal or not?
Now Honestly answer that question.

Most of you/us would have. We all got a great deal Cree or not. No way I buy either at anything north of $50 so it’s Win, Win regardless the color choice.

Tell me, where else you will buy that Tool Ti for $23.99 in XP-G2????

But they didn’t. Discount or no discount, they didn’t get what they ordered. I would have no use for the Cree version and I’d be pissed too.

The worst part is that Gearbest offered me $10 in my “Gearbest wallet” as compensation and $1 off a future order. Purely insulting and in direct violation of their own published policy which calls for a full return or replacement. Just insulting.

I opened a PayPal claim because I’m not going to deal with a company like that. It’s starting to seem like they shipped everyone the wrong product and are just making everything worse with terrible customer service and lack of damage control or apologies.

Proposal:
I’m buying your (& everybody else’s) Lumintop Tool Ti that GB has sent XP-G2 version and not Nichia (or the opposite) for $13.99, price that stands for $23.99 payment minus $10 of GB’s compensation. You keep your $1 off a future order at your GB Wallet, so you’re a winner! Cash

I too received wrong LED (got Nichia instead Cree) and they GB offered $5USD GB wallet, here i am foolish enough to accept bc i thought mistake happen and this is the first case they stuff-up. Sound like a few stuff-up with Tool-Ti, i blame it on Lumintop for packaging (if they don’t care why should i care?) hence no more interest with Lumintop. Initially plan get Tool then Prince but now??

After 24hrs guess have to do paypal claim…sick of deal with BS from CS.

Hi Shaun,

I am very sorry to hear about this issue.

Could you please PM me your order number or ticket number? Please rest assured we will check and solve for you.

We wish to apologize for the inconvenience caused and thanks for your cooperation.

Really?? after i’ve email twice attached photo twice and all i got was “we need to confirm with the product department” then sorry and $5 compensation (feel like falling on deaf ears). Even explained last 2-3mth ordered about 16 light and none neutral-white so yeah you can re-check the order if you like!! The reason i accept the compensation?

1) Avoid the headache email back/forth and then have contact Paypal; twice should be enough!
2) The more i think about the issue i realize the issue lies with Lumintop packaging and not really GB order-picker fault; also fact this my first case.
3) Can always give to family member see if they can get use out of it.

What really irritate me was Gb make me feel like it my fault order wrong product, which end of the day i’m paying for something i’m never get to use. Anyhow let bygones be bygones and i cant wait for Klarus Mi7-Ti -anyone else excited or just me??

Here’s the thing, I don’t want another Tool Cree, I already own the Tool Cu with the Cree emitter, I bought this because it was supposed to be a Nichia.

MSRP is irrelevant, you make as if GB was doing me a favor and giving me a flashlight out of the goodness of their heart. They sold item A and delivered item B. Would you still be taking this high horse if I paid $70? Why would MSRP or discount amount affect a sellers responsibility to provide what was advertised?

Edit: just to be clear, I don’t “want more money back”. I’ll be perfectly happy returning the item to GB in exchange for a Nichia OR for a refund. Understandably, the return would have to be on their expense, ultimately they’re responsible for their mistakes.

I’m afraid I don’t have those skills yet, especially something this small. I’d gladly accept the $10 Gearbest money and transfer to you if you’re offering your services.

Ha! But then I’ll be suckered into placing another purchase with Gearbest, it’s hard enough as it is to resist. Truth be told, they have some great promotions, it’s the customer service that sucks.

If PayPal doesn’t decide in my favor and I’m stuck with this, I plan on listing the light here at cost+sh. I’d love to see how many “it’s a great deal anyway” people take me up on it. That’ll be the ideal win-win

I would agree with you a year (or even some months) ago. Lately I see much better CS from GB in comparison with that period.

If you list it in here at cost+shipping, I don’t believe many members would be interested. They could buy it at the same cost and (maybe) lower shipping from GB when the deal was announced. I’m one of those who resisted that deal. I wouldn’t resist though at $13.99+shipping! Silly

Receiving wrong product is sucks. But hey, we can’t find titanium light at $13.99 anywhere, unless probably get it from manufacturer directly. If it were me, I would still consider this as a good deal.

I’m waiting for several Tool Ti Nichia I ordered from them and if it turns out XP-G2 at $13 a piece… hell yeah! I want 10 more Tool Ti Crazy

Honestly, I would think refusing the $10 compensation and going for PayPal dispute case means someone wants a free Tool Ti. Not pointing fingers here..

well… mine came today, I ordered the Cree and of course it’s the Nichia. Facepalm
The labels are reversed on my box, with the side saying XP-G2 R5 and the top says TOOL TI-NICHIA

I already had the Rey Tool Ti which I’m happy with, just wanted to compare the two.

I offered GB a deal (For all those claiming I’m trying to get a free flashlight out of this, it doesn’t involve more money or refunds, I’d be paying them more money), let me see if they take me up on it, otherwise I’ll get back to you.

(The $10 was store credit, a lot less useful)

Gearbest…you do have some pretty good deals but I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with you. I’m afraid that I won’t get what I order or it’ll come damaged. I reserved 10 BLF 348s but when I found out they would be order through you…I just decided not to.

Its GB wallet right? If it is, it can be used together with coupon.
Just for example, klarus C4 has coupon code that will bring it down to $11.11. So with GB wallet, you will only need to pay $1.11
hope this help Smile

So you get a charger for 1.11$ then sold it locally for 25$ and you even make a profit + Ti XPG2 Tool free
HaHa I would love to do that

This is very unfortunate. I ordered one as well and experienced the same problem. Has anyone had their situation satisfactorily resolved by GearBest or their representative on this forum?

+1,000

Forcing GB to do a full refund will only prevent future deals like this from showing up. The box says both CREE and Nichia, so it is most likely a manufacturer’s fault. Not everyone is familiar enough with flashlights to identify the emitter by looks, maybe the dispatcher at GB didn’t check, or didn’t know how to, it’s not like they sent a completely wrong item or a defective one.

I would gladly take the $5 credit, $18.99 for a titanium tool, how is that not a steal?
