Deal alert; 18650 size zoomie $3.50 e-bay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1200Lumens-CREE-XM-L-XP-HOT-3-Modes-Light-Flashlight-Torch1-18650-Battery-WF-US1-/121414854474?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item1c44e3a74a

This is one of my favorite budget lights. It’s a very small zoomie that takes an 18650 battery. It has a good ring free beam.

I have bought from this dealer before, they ship quick.

I’m a junky, I mod lights so I can sell lights so I can buy more light to mod so I can sell lights to buy more lights to mod.

Cool, went to buy 2

Says he ships worldwide, except for some reason worldwide doesn’t include the UK Sad

Maybe he thought Scotland was going to leave and the UK would cease to exist

I have never bothered to take one apart. My Son actually grabbed mine and has been using it stock for about a year now. Just don’t expect convoy quality from a $3.50 cent light. Still I like this light a lot better than a stock Sipik clone which is about the only thing else like this for the price.

Thanks, I ordered two. I also picked up two the svelte, cheap 14500/AA zoomies with 3mode drivers in black.

You didn’t get any tracking, right? I did not.

Last time I ordered from them I didn’t get a tracking number either. It took about 2 weeks for it to arrive. They had a bunch of 502B’s fairly cheap that time. I think they get closeouts or overstocks or something like that.

Most of these have XPE on the cheaper version. There’s a chance vendor don’t even know what the emitter really is.

But at $3.50 shipped I’ll bite, can always use another beater.

Yep the ones I got were both XPE too and I would almost bet that these are. Probably why the beam is better on them.

I’d guess “HOT” means it’s really cool.

CREE XM-L XP” — clearly the seller doesn’t know what it is.

I see a whole lot of cheap ‘zoom’ lights from China showing up on Ebay lately.

57 sold in 24 hrs… BLF power? Smile

I’m sure this would come with an XPE, but I did grab one anyway for the price. I would have grabbed much more (3-4?) if not for the existence of the Zeusray. But if this one did come with XML – gonna have serious buyer’s remorse for not grabbing more.

I think ALL of us would agree that this will not be 1200 Lumens!

Any guesses for those who may have it and for those waiting?

With out seeing it I am going to say 400, 500 max. Wink

I have one like or similar to that, that was, the best I can figure, sent to me accidentally. It fills the role of the smallest and lightest 18650 zoomy I have, but I rarely use it because it is ugly.

Cheap way of learning (trying) to mod. Braided the tail cap, put a copper top on the spring, dedomed a xml2, copper sink pad, little arctic sauce, slid in a 25R and viola, little pocket rocket! My first build! (ZeusRay) Ordered 4 of these to perfect my technique, should have ordered 10 of them, my technique needs alot of work!!!! :Sp

Never had a zoomie of any kind before, may pick one up just because.

Noone received theirs yet?

250 lumens is my guess. I’m sure it’ll be an XPE. Unless it’s really an XML then I’d up it to 450-500 OTF.

It’s pretty good though even if it turns to be XPE. This is a very small 18650 light and fits nicely in glovebox/toolbox, and has reasonably nice beam.

Normally even the cheaper XPE version goes for $1 more than this.
