Bucket is already making one as well, he’s had a Courui for a while now, since before he got onto the Damascus build for Matt.

Count me in! I’ll be very interested in a nice, thick copper pill for this!

I knew that I should have waited before clicking ‘buy’ for one of these lights from another vendor…….could have saved almost $10 !

Yep, I bought one a day/or two ago, for $32.07, oh well, I didn’t pay 38.

Just wanted to let you guys know what you can look for from mine- I’ll be designing new boards for mine to be a 3s buck driver using components from an HX-1175b. The driver/upper contact plate will be one board and then either mod the factory tail plate or make a new one for 3S. This will drive either a 3v or 6v emitter upwards of 8A via sense resistors and uses a surprisingly small number of components.

Change of plans, instead of stripping HX-1175b’s I’ll be designing a whole new driver based on the MAX16820 buck driver (an individual component). Spec’s are pretty awesome, 2Mhz switching, very high PWM in, should be pretty efficient especially when able to use a nice large board with large Cu pour for heat dissipation.

This is the DO1 with black anodizing. The original was grey I believe.
Amazon is the only place I could find it in stock today.
DX had them 2 days ago, but today the listing is gone.

I do not know if it is different inside.
Some sites show 1000ma driver, one shows 1800, most show no info.
I ordered one anyway. For the price it’s likely to be a good buy.

Have a buddy wanting one of these, should I order for him using my account (either way it’ll be delivered to me) or is it cool to share the code with non BLF members?

The code is for anyone wanting to buy this light.

Let’s share our blessings, the BLF way. (no matter how small, nonetheless)

Cool, in that case is it ok to share the code outside of light forums (it’s already shared on TFF).

Also is there a set number of units that once sold will end this, or is the only end date based?

Who can I contact to hold my order up / add another so I can save the additional tracking fee? CSGearbest?

Please share this thread among our other friends in different fora. Please contact dorawu13@gmail.com for special requests.

The coupon will definitely last for a time frame long enough until interest wanes I guess.

I have some nasty words for you sir. I can not afford such an option! I’ve kept myself away from this one since the original thread because of the emitter shelf…

Hi bro,
As posted in the op, GB said the latest is Sept.29th. I asked them to ship sooner if possible.

Got me there bro. Ha ha. Wasn’t paying too much attention to the the latter part of the OP.
Any chance GB can ship units in Gray? I already have too many black lights.

I’ll check. If there is a gray finish available, that would be a great selection alternative.

Just for fun, I compared the dimensions of the D01 with my K40-L2 and they are “almost” the same. IMO the D01 looks better and cheaper too. In terms of features and specs the K40-L2 beats it though.

Still, I want a D01. Resisting . . . Oops
