Has anybody ever had this situation with Expedited shipping?
Ordered a light recently from a seller well known around this forum and paid for expedited shipping. The price of the exp. shipping itself was almost 50% of the actual sale price of the light. I chose this option for shipping because I dont really sweat the cost, and obviously, getting it as quickly as possible is what we all want, right? The seller claimed delivery in 4-7 business days and the shipping company who is handling it says exp. shipping takes 3-5 business days. Well, today was the 7th day and from what I can tell by tracking the order, it still hasnt even left China. I contacted customer service and let them know that if it didnt come within the specified time period I would like to refunded the money I paid to have quicker shipping. They responded, (this is not quoted) “ Hi we appreciate your order! We have contacted the shipping company and it seems your order is held up at customs-which is out of our control. We ask that you please be more patient for a few more days and see what happens.” OK. I responded, “ Yes, I know I will have to wait for my light whether I am patient or not. I have no doubt the order will EVENTUALLY get here so at this point I am more concerned about the money I paid for faster service. Since after today, the delivery cannot be considered “expedited” so if it isnt able to be delivered on time, just tell me ITS BEEN DELAYED and refund me the original shipping charges. Thank you.”

- Haven’t heard back yet, but they seem to always respond at about 3 a.m. my time.

Anyone else experience this and if so, what did you do? :quest:

Are you using 17track.net for tracking?  

The low mode should be lower.

The vendors do not control customs.
You are out of luck.
Lesson learned the hard way NOT to pay for expedited on Int’l Orders.
I highly doubt you will get any kind of refund.

Well then it’s bullsh** to offer the service if you can’t provide it. I know customs isn’t something they can control but good customer service would ideally recognize the the problem and offer to correct it. I don’t care about the money. However, I DONT like customer service playing dumb and twiddling their thumbs.
