Thanks to member _the_ hard working. and we had some testing results.

overall, the SD10 is good, but not yet approved. He found small issues with the driver software and I have forwarded these information to engineer,Lumintop will get those ironed out as soon as possible.

I think all of us are happier to have a perfect light after weeks than a bad one right now.

Really sorry about this, but maybe we have to forget about the Xmas.Embarassed

1>18650.26650 sleeves available.(no extra cost.)

2>3K hz PWM available by designing a new program.

3>MOQ is cut down to 150pcs.(without increasing price)

I've really done everything, and Lumintop is so kind to help and support me and BLF.

To make this light born,we've done many things we never did before.

SD10 is usually 55-59.9$ among those sites. now it's only 39$.

What's more, it comes with such an awesome UI and BLF logo, free AA carrier and sleeves.

It's the greatest in the history,I don't find anything else that worth the money.

I really looking forward to seeing the 4th Light, don't want it to be a failure.

Best Regards

Rey

Battery versatility is interesting. Will that be maintained with the custom build?

How about a GOOD neutral tint instead of some crappy default like the 3C that came with the minis ..in my opinion the tints sucked  on that model and ruined it .

How about a nice 4c tint

I like the multi-battery usage in this light. a good Neutral white would be great, even have it come with a Nichia 219B instead of the Cree LED, or if it has to be a Cree then likely a 4C tint.

I'm probably in either way, but will you be able to get custom programming for a lower moonlight mode?  A great moonlight mode is what I love about the BLF A8 you got for us.

The low mode should be lower.

A couple Q’s after reading some reviews:

“hard cardboard box with packing foam. Inside you will find the light, extra o-ring, wrist lanyard and manual.”
All included with the BLF special light?

Will both CW & NW versions be Gen 2, and not the gen 1 version with a weak switch?

Lumintop can make the moonlight at 0.8lm. can't remember the number for BLF A8

Sorry for the missing information.

1.O ring, wrist lanyard, AA carrier, all included. (no manual for this special BLF version)

2.CW will be Gen2, NW will be Gen1. 3C tint.

3.Switch was improved long time ago.

So is this just a group buy rather than a custom light?

Might be in for one, depends when it’s going to kick off.

Come on Rey, nobody here will accept an old gen XM-L anymore, the gen2 has been on the market for two years now and even the crappiest dx-light comes with gen2 leds.

For instance, I will only be in if the leds will be gen2 and neutral and 80CRI.

Reverse polarity protection should be added, else the driver is fried with wrong insertion of batteries, which is what often happens with current version

The moon must be just a few mA, 3mA at the most

Also it would be great if the mcu would be tiny 13a so that we can mod the code.

It is funny that everytime when there is a GB/custom light offer it always start a new debate on the driver modes, choice of tint… blah blah blah.

Why don’t we just follow the specification below,

Quote:
> 4 modes with last mode memory. Mode spacing as follows: -Mode 1/Low 3% ~30 lumens. -Mode 2/Med. 20% ~200 lumens -Mode 3/High 50% ~500 lumens -Mode 4/Turbo (@ 3.5 amps with 3 min. step-down to High) ~1100 lumens > Copper MCPCB w/DTP (Direct Thermal Path). Excellent, high quality board. > Improved lens (Double-sided AR coated lens). > No glue on threads. > Driver voltage range: 3v-4.2 > Reverse clicky. > Matte black HA III anodization. > “BLF Special Edition” custom logo. > Gift box with BLF graphics. > Two tint choices: XM-L2 U2-1A or XM-L2 U2-3C. > Comes with: Adjustable Lanyard with quick-releasae, clip, extra button (GITD) and 2 extra O-rings. > Reverse polarity and low voltage protection.

Quoted from the BLF X6 GB (kronological’s thread, with minor edit), which has came to an agreement by most people. Smile Maybe there are certain things we cannot follow exactly but this is a good reference anyway.

In the future whenever there is a GB for custom light we can always refer to this.

If the driver is modified for reverse polarity protection and the GB version is updated with an XM-L2 NW, I’d be in for one. Otherwise I’ll have to pass on it.
