I bought this November last year, paid $180 shipped.
Like the original owner, I never used it.
Light has been stored, in protective packaging, so I just got out and checked all there. The body tube is 2 pieces, can be used as 4 cell or 8 cell light.
I can’t explain much about the “configurable” battery adapter (never got to building anything with it) All I can say is there are some extra brass bits in the bag and that the brass connectors in the delrin parts of the holder snap in and can be removed and swapped allowing different battery configs.
4 x 18650 series.
8 x 18650 series.
Or 4S2P with 8 cells for 14.8V nominal (16.8V if you prefer)
