OK folks, Here is the Lucky Sun Mini20 provided to me from GearBest for review.
This is a very nice small High Performance 16340 flashlight with very good output, nice thermal management and light weight.
Anodizing is superb and it has a nice feel in the hand.

User interface is as follows;

Always starts on High, then goes to Med, Low, Strobe, Turbo, SOS
Why they stick Turbo in between the Strobe and SOS is one of life’s little mysteries.
I would love to know what the engineer’s reasons were.

Good part is it has a very healthy High, Medium is not much lower in visible light even though amperage drops in half, but the real treat here is a very nice usable Low. No it is not a Moonlight but rather is a nice soft .04 amp draw low.

The weird user interface does not bother me as much as I thought it would as it always comes on High and then goes right to Med and Low which is usually where I stop if using it in the barn. If I want to go to Turbo, 2 more quick taps and I am there.

With a 16340 I would imagine on Turbo it is going to burn through it pretty fast. Fortunately the regular High is close in real life appearance and Med is not much lower but saves battery life.
Pointing at my ceiling fan reveals no low PWM effects (Unlike My Solar storm SC03)

It does have low voltage warning, it will pulse real slow. Found this out trying the 3 volt CR123 batteries.

The Mini20 does have a fairly pronounced ring up close that may be due to the rather deep recessed lens and the attack bezel.
Hot spot looks great and when not up close the ring is not seen.
This one Tail stands perfectly.
Biggest bummer here is the Tail Cap is glued, looking down the battery tube it looks like a drop of Red thread locker can be seen.
I am afraid to hit it with heat for fear of screwing up the Tailcap and/or switch.

In closing, Nice small light for the price of a couple McDonald’s Value meals :slight_smile:
Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Thanks for sharing , Muto .

Interesting light. The mode order suggests that they use the same driver as Palight uses. I'm wondering if they are the same company or simply a rebranded Palight.

I like the look and build quality however for the price I’ll have to pass. Now if it was 18350 light I would of already ordered one.

Thanks for the review, Muto. The LuckySun lights look to be pretty good for the money!

Look closely at the picture of inside the battery tube, it says “Nico Nature”
They also seem to be the same as Palight, so who knows who makes what.
This Nico Nature looks promising;
