WW dropin for L2r
I just ordered a solarforce L2r. I want to put in some kind of warm white dropin. I don't know if I want a low voltage to run on AAs or do something different like an MCE(I don't have one of those) and two 14500s. Any ideas? Pitch them here.

Thanks Bob, a warm XML would be great but that's a pretty hard animal to find. I see a lot of WW MCEs in hosts for cheap but I don't need another p60 host lying around. That is an option though. I just want something different than all the cool white Q5s and XMLs I have around here. A good WW xpg would be nice. I will make the battery situation fit for whatever I get. I'm looking for a WW XPG, MCE or XML dropin. XREs are out. I'm off to check out the deereelights now but I don't know how cheap those are.

I'm not sure why xre's are out, because they have the best selection of available options.

I just wanted something different but that's proving hard to find. I was thinking of this http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=10965 a light that I think Agenthex liked in another thread. I would have to use a spacer and run off one battery though. The thing that adds some complication to this is the battery situation. Im just looking for something a little different. I may just end up with an xre and that will be cool because I still don't have any warm whites. Still looking for ideas.

Yes that's a good light, but it needs a mod. The stock reflector threads are too shallow for the mce on that particular pill (exaggerated mc-e beam hole), so I just swapped for some other random OP reflector in another dropin and now both work well. Needs to back out a couple turns to get rid of the hole entirely. I liked it as is in the nice and shiny clone L2 host.

The best dropin for 2x14500 is this http://www.dealextreme.com/p/cree-q2-led-drop-in-module-for-wf-502b-and-...
