HELP!! Need a 900+ Lumen Forward Clicky Multi-Mode Flashlight for $30

I placed an order for a few of the Eagle Eye F35 lights. Essentially a Fenix PD35, the order was cancelled after two weeks. What I really need is the low, medium and high levels in a fairay bright and easily pocketed 18650 light. It also must have a forward click. My target price is $30.

Any suggestion for a light that is available now or really soon?

Convoy S2 from Fastech, choose the 2800mah driver in your choice of tint. Try it with the reverse clicky, (much better for mode changes than forward clicky, IMHO) if you just can’t stand it, swap out the switch for a fwd… Great torch, my edc for about a year now. Added a pocket clip, also from Fastech and That brought it to about $19.

Solarforce T1 would seem to do all this. Slightly down on lumens, but tbh comparing it to other high output lights of similar size, it really isn’t a big difference. Led is very easy to get at if you want to swap in an XM-L2. Really is a very nice torch often over looked.

I’ve had my fair share of reverse clickies and only an old Fenix P2 and a Sunwayled M40C are around. Every multi level light that I have is either a two speed tail switch, magnetic ring or head twist. Except for the Fenix, of course.

I’m looking at the Solarforce right now. I’ll have to see how the UI works.

IMO the UI is one of the best things about it and one of the best UI’s I’ve come across. It has 3 modes.

Head tight is high. And the switch is a forward clicky with momentary. In this config it acts like a single mode light. So that using momentary won’t change modes. If you losen the head it will drop to Mid. With the head lose you can cycle between mid and low and still have momentary. Tighten the head and it’s back to high. The modes are very well spaced too.

T1 is “only” about 1/2 the lumens OP is looking for.

Remember when 100 lumens was the holy grail of pocketable flashlights?

Thrunite TN12 is a step above everything listed here. It’s pricier, but it’s even a step above the Fenix PD35…

Surefire with 60 blinding lumens!!

I usually have to spot thing in big dark spaces during the day. 600 lumens has been good to me. 900 might be better. But ithe still needs to ride in my pocket for two hours and turn on for about 10 seconds every few minutes.

I forgot about the TN12. I remember reading a review earlier in the year.

Pick a light...any light that has a tail switch. My EE F30 has a forward switch installed. Changing modes is either fast double clicks or half-clicks just as a reverse. I only use forward switches at work because of the momentary ability. For the lights I do not use at work I don't care but for those that do work daily I have a half dozen FC switches on hand.

When I first came here I though it would a major undertaking. I can tell you that today I feel stupid that I even asked. LOL.

You already have the X6-SE coming so you could use that. Switches are available at:

The money is the same and I honestly believe the switches are the same. My EE F30 uses the 17mm. I recently acquired a nice Supfire A6 that I will be adding a forward switch to and for the $18 the light is well worth the money if you choose something other than EE or Convoy.
