relectors compatible with triple nichia 20mm stars

Hi,

Other than the triple carclo optics, are there any triple relectors available that are compatible with, say, the 20mm Octagon triple nichia 219 bases?

I have been searching the obvious dealers, but have not been successful in locating such a part.

I’m looking to install in an 18650 host not yet chosen, but likely to be similar to convoy c8.

What are your goals? I’m assuming that you want to better fill a C8 head, I do not think that you will find what you want for that MCPCB. The spacing for a 20mm Noctigon is setup for 10mm optics. Draw it on paper - the LEDs are approximately 10mm away from each other. Anything larger than 10mm/ea will require serious overlap of the optics. I think that’s too big a compromise for such tiny optics.

If you just want to find something else that will work with that MCPCB besides the Carclo stuff you can look into Khatod and Ledil. I don’t think Ledil has anything, but Khatod might.

If you are not stuck on 20mm Noctigons there are other things you could look into, depending on your needs/goals:

You might want to look over here at this 32mm triple option… Interest in Intl-Outdoors 32mm Noctigon 4x XP-G , *Hank is going with a second run, YAY!*

Yes - your assumptions about my goals are correct. I’m hoping to better-fill a host’s head.

I like your suggestion for the 32mm triple option. Now I’ll need to select a suitable host.

I had been considering the Convoy C8 and M2, as well as modding a Sunwayman v25c. I need to revisit these, however, since I don’t believe all of them can accept the 32mm base. Perhaps the Eagle Eye X6 is the best choice- it certainly seems awesome in the thread link you provided.

I really wanted to fit a triple LED configuration into a host with magnetic control ring, like the v25c. Ignoring physical size limitations for the moment that may preclude accepting a 32mm base, I also don’t know enough about the v25c’s driver capability to sufficiently drive 3 LEDs in parallel. I have successfully modded other magnetic control ring hosts, the Sunwayman v11c and Nitecore SRT3. I have fitted them with a Cree XM L2 4C tint and a Nichia 219 and they work beautifully! But, each of these were single LEDs.

I think that there is something important you haven’t considered. The 35mm triple optics are shallow when compared to a 30-40mm diameter reflector. Any ‘reflector’ host you install them in will require a spacer. Therefore the 32mm MPCB diameter thing is probably just not an issue.

I’ll keep an eye out for further thoughts from you once you’ve had some time to stew on it.

Putting a Ledil 35mm lens and Noctigon XP32 in a Shadow JM07 will work easily, I tried on mine. You sill have an empty space where the 20mm MCPCB LED was originally, a 21mm diameter space, not a 21mm space.
