These are just very cool little lights. I know most of you have some of these already but they have the colored ones and the price is right. Fantastic lights for gifts. I don’t know if they will show up in time for Christmas or not, probably not but still very cool lights. Fun to mod too.

And nice price. A couple of years ago I got some from Meritline and gifted them to family at Christmas. They still talk about them. I think they were about $6 then

One mode good for gifting, but too late for this holiday season. Some time ago I figured out the SK68 clones are cheaper to use than free 9 LED types from Harbor Freight if you use Eneloops, 1x AA vs 3x AAA, cost of battery exceeds cost of light, and the HF batteries that come with the free lights are leaky junk best to dump asap.
I bought two of those Q5s and liked then so much I just ordered 15 more to give out to co-workers.
They each come with the simple charger and and a single Ultrafire 14500.
But I’m guessing the Ultrafire 14500 is not that great, so I’m thinking of also including a Trustfire 14500 900mAh for each.
Single mode with a 14500 I would not gift to a casual user, too hot, too quick. Turn on and sit it on something while working and a minute later its too hot to pick up. Eneloops or alkalines will have plenty of output for most anyway.
“Single mode” are there different version of this flashlight, if so, how many different versions?

The ones linked at the top come with — nothing, just the flashlight. Just to be clear.
The one-mode means it has one brightness level (it will get hot fairly fast on alkaline or li-ion, not so fast on NiMH which is what I’d recommend for gifting)
There are lots of variations — use the search tool in the upper left corner of the page and search for “SK68” and you’ll find many, many discussions.
You can’t rely on getting the same thing from the same source — it’s always a lottery.

(I got a few last year from a different site that worked only with 14500s but not with 1AA cells, so I always wonder)
The ones I got work on AA. I don't have any 14500 to try. The threads on the tailcap were very poor and one switch out of six was sticky every fourth click.
I ran one for 5 minutes on a rested 14500. It was warm, but not too hot to hold. I also have an issue with a sticky clicky that needs some sideways pressure to switch off. The problem with the threading on mine is because the pressure washer around the spring deforms the tail threading at the point where the contact strip from the switch is pressed against the outer housing. This small bulge hangs up on the female threading particularly where there are two holes made for the screws that fasten the clip.
I have two incoming, shipped on 11/26 so hopefully anytime now…
They have hollow pills… 
For $3.00 I would not expect anything but the cheapest of lights.

my previous order of sk68 clones were very different from each other.
but good for gifting, they all work better then local techno shop alternatives.
I have ordered total of 7: 3 blue, 3 light green and 1 red.
