I see these 3 options are some of the best, somebody has some one of these? opinions…

Cheers

This one gets good reviews Etekcity

I picked up two of these from my local Home Depot. They were originally $30 during black friday but they have since reduced them to $20. Takes 8 D cell batteries (4 to power the lantern, 4 to run the bluetooth). Might not be exactly what you are looking for, but a pretty good deal nonetheless.

Jawbone jambox, really good sound quality

This one seems to have good reviews !

Does this have a jack for external power?

Unfortunately no, no external power only runs off of batteries

Thanks. Hopefully not too hard to add. Hope both parts run off NiMHs …

Look for a good deal on a JLAB Crasher. Good sound, rechargeable via microUSB, and also has a full-size USB output and an AUX in jack. I got mine for about $25 refurb on ebay. If you can afford the extra $10, it really is worlds better than those little single-driver models.

This review gives it “Best Bang for the Buck” based on its $80 MSRP

Here’s a good deal for a used one

Its a good price on that used model but the shipping costs to Europe are sky HIGH; more than the cost of the kit.

Have a loom at the ibox trax, I got one on amazon for about £40.

Its very small but decent sound plus a 5 year warranty!

Ahh sorry. I always forget some people actually live in Europe.

Yes, a prefer only chinese shops with free shipping, it is the most secure way to bring things to europe.
And nobody has tested any of the three choosen speakers i put in the first message?.

Have you looked at the electronics/connections inside to confirm it is 6 volt for lantern and bluetooth or 12 volt total?

My wife picked up a couple of these - 1 for gift exchange and 1 for us. Plenty bright for a lantern and sound is OK.

The power pack runs of NIMH AAs and charges our tablet, too.

No, I have not taken it apart to confirm if it is 6V or not, but the battery compartment is divided into two sections and are clearly marked that 4 are for the lantern and another 4 are just for the bluetooth and speaker. I put in only 4 batteries at a time and only one function (light or speaker) will work at the time so they are definitely independent.

Hope this helps!

I have a Boombot Rex I got as a gift. I think it's $60 right now; really rugged and really loud with the 2 tweeters and 1 micro-woofer configuration. Reviews say it gets pretty tinny and the lack of mids and I can attest to that since I have it strapped to my bag while I'm out riding. I do believe it's really good contender for a budget bluetooth speaker, next to the Jawbone Jambox.

I do love their warranty though, no questions asked replacement. I had one break and they just up and gave me a new one.

Before I sent it in I did a quick teardown ;) Link in pic.

For those wondering about the battery, I believe those are two 950mAh prismatic cells wired in series.

The new Denon Envaya Mini hat a nice sound, the refurbished JBL Charge 2 ist also nice, but with little technical sound problems until volume 5.

I heard al lot of BT speakers…

regards

Thanks, it does. I wondered about that after reading about it elsewhere but haven’t gotten back to it.

Edit - OK, saw the markings. Anybody tried NiMhs to see how low of voltage either side will run on before it shuts off?

Take a look at the Bohm SoundBlock. Good reviews. Amazon had them for $40.00. I ordered one, just waiting on its arrival.

Earson er151 seems to be good, but without memory card reader.
Are there any with aa or aaa batteries?
