Anybody use wire glue?

Have any of you used wire glue to connect a copper part to aluminum? I’m putting a larger driver in a light and I made a copper sleeve that fits it’s perfect. I know that I can crimp it to keep it in place but I would like something to create a stronger bond that still conducts electricity. Does wire glue stick to aluminum and copper and have a good bond?

I’m talking about this stuff.

Are there any other solutions for this?

Interesting!!!

Need now to glue 7135 driver to my Lucky Sun D80

Tried some a couple years back, not that great, it makes brittle connection and I suspect has much higher resistance than soldering. I only used it a few times on low current though.

Though for your application with tight metal-metal connection, it probably works alright as adhesive and gap filler.

I have used and it

Thanks for the info. I run into this kind of problem every so often and I’m sure others do as well. I wonder if there is an epoxy out there that is super conductive? There must be some someplace.

How about this?

I have not tried it

I've not used that exact product, but I used that conductive paint used to repair broken car rear-window defrost grids once... I used it to repair a broken trace on a video card with good results. I was actually shocked that it worked.

I use conductive glue/paint on the mode connection pads cause its easier to change than solder.

That sounds pretty good, I have used some of their other products and they make good stuff for sure.

That’s cool. I was actually on an automotive forum the other day and a guy was talking about doing the same thing, that was actually what got me thinking about it.
