That is quite a claim for a flashlight with outdated led. Did he update these flashlights at all since 2009?
The LF2XT is quite a grail. It uses AAA or 10440 batteries and is microprocessor controlled. It had a really nice UI, if programmability is your thing. You get to select the levels and whether it’s one press or two, strobe, locator beacon, etc.
Only downside for me was the delay on the electronic switch. Mine sat on a shelf for years. The LF2XT is probably going for more than $200 for a mint sample now.

Yup, it is strange how no other manufacturer has made light similar to LF2XT yet. And even Liteflux stopped making them. I guess the market for a light like that must be too small, even tho many people do seem to love them. :o
I did not buy one back then, because it felt so expensive. I thought that I could wait, and new improved lights would appear from other manufacturers and the prices would go down. And I was wrong - no new similar lights, and the prices just went up.
I would if I could. I sold mine three years ago. It waa a great light but the delay on the electronic switch was not to my liking. That was my old sales thread that I linked to.
I went from the Lite Flux to the HDS. It’s bigger but still rides in your pocket really well. For the $250 that a Lite Flux might cost, I would go for a new HDS Rotary.

Waaay late to this, but hey.
I’ve just found my LF3XT in the cupboard. It has been modded with tritium vials inserted and glued into the 4 lanyard holes in the tailcap to give 8 points of green light. These can be removed or replaced. It is in its wooden box with instructions.
I found the modded thread on CPF from 2009 when I was showing it off, but the Photobucket ransom means no pics. The trits still seem to be glowing well.
I’ll take some pictures tomorrow and start a proper sales thread.
