Yea saw that, but you cant generalise that on all d40a, i can’t say about mine, because i gave it away. Someone else has similar problems? There were hundreds sold if i remember correctly.
We really need a budget ($40ish) soup can style 4xAA light. AR glass, DTP, nice threads, matte anodising. BLF edition would be great.

Group buys for high end flashlight brands usually end up with either minor discounts or the MAP police kicking in. I got my D40A for 40 dollars a year ago with a discount code for BLF (from Banggood if I remember well?), and it was cancelled within a day (but they fulfilled the few orders that were already placed, lucky for me)
The next round was then for 49$.
The problem is that all this improvements add to the price, AR lense is more expensive than no coated glass lense, DTP cost more than regular aluminium star MCPCB, etc. you get the point.
You (everyone) would like price to go down and all premium goodies to go up (more of them) but unfortunately it doesn’t work like that …
