Quick question, Can TN31 Driver power a MT-G2 led?

Can the ThruNite TN31 XM-L driver power a MT-G2 led? How about the new cree 4-die leds?

Thanks in advance for your replies

There’s only one way to find out…

I’m pretty sure that it will. You can test by trying to run 2 XM’s in series, that way your risking some cheap XM pulls’s, not a $20 MT.

I do know that a TN32 driver will run either a 3 or 6v LED and that a TN30 driver will NOT run a single 3v emitter (didn’t test 6v function).

I tried it a ways back. It can't stock. Max voltage out was only 4.x. Seems to regulate voltage and current. Shame because MT-G2 in a TN31 would be a sweet combo.

The K40 driver which is very similar also can't as reported here.

Thanks for the replies

Yup, can confirm ImA4Wheelr’s findings.

The TN31 and K40 drivers unfortunately have a max voltage limit so it doesn’t have enough voltage to power 6V emitters.
