Anyone is interested in a roughly 6’3” hand made 12 plait bullwhip? The handle (fiberglass) and thong are 4’ but with the fall and cracker add another 2-2.25 ft. It is sand and black with a wrist loop as well. Paracord bullwhips are nicer then leather since they will last forever, lighter, more flexible and they are paracord so in a pinch can be very useful! Whip is very well made and each plaiting is rolled between marble stones to smooth everything out and make it roll out easier. CRACKS like a champ for being a shorter whip.
Only reason I am selling it is because I just made a 6’ snake whip (same as a bullwhip but doesn’t have a rigid handle and is shot loaded since snake whips use mass/weight to create the thrust needed to crack) and a 10’ bullwhip. Bullwhips are the easiest whip to learn on, I do NOT recommend buying a snake whip if you have never used a whip before. You’ll just get mad at it and quit. Asking $55 6065 70 shipped
It is the sand/black one with a wrist loop. The other one is my 4’ snakewhip
Takes over an hour to make and its VERY boring work to plait these things. First time making one will set you back a good 3 hours. You can make them a lot fast if you dont do inner plaits or just use like a rope as the core but you wont get a good whip out of it. Comparable whips sell for over $100 so its not a bad deal at all
Here is an example of what works goes into it
Just an example; THIS is a poor made whip. The end of the thong is just 3 strand braided like you would a childs hair. That is not flexible and really hurts the whips performance. I also am not a fan of waxing the paracord for a few reasons but you can see how it makes black paracord have a white finish. That one also doesnt appear to be wrapped to tight, which hurts the whips performance as well. You want a tight plaiting to have a solid long lasting whip.
For someone looking for a good whip, you wont find a better deal then this. Well you can find them cheaper like the one on ebay above but they are not the same quality and quality does matter in a whip. Poor quality wont last long and wont have the same solid crack. I would keep it but I have a snakewhip in the same size and just got the 10’ (well close to 11’6” with the fall/cracker) bullwhip so wont use the smaller bullwhip
If it doesnt sell or no one is interested in it then I will keep it and just keep it in my truck or something.
Still have this for sale. Its a fun little whip to mess around with. Extremely loud cracker once you get the hang of the motion.
If it doesnt sell in the next few months I will be giving it to my girlfriend to enjoy. She has been stealing my 10’ bull whip that I like wayyyy too much
