That Trustfire is around 8 to 9 mm longer than a standard C8 so the reflector is probably that much longer putting it to similar dimensions to the original Dereelight DBS or RQ Spear dimensions. Yep, should be a good thrower but Manafont say its only driven an 1A........
The Palight R5 FTT seems like the same old play but with a different cast. I'll bet its the first of a storm of this pattern with R5's rather than Q3/5's. Should work better than a T6 version though.
I had the MTE M2 FTT with the R5 and i was happy with it. i would probably try the palight minus the extras.
