Doing a bit of research I like this model because (But keep in mind Im a noob)
1- It has a stop when batteries are done, not a trickle
2- It has a low/slow charge so I can use with my AA cells
(Are the above 2 features really vital?)
Is there anything else I should consider before I pull the trigger?
I dont really need the LCD, and the Intellicharger is only 13USD, but it doesnt have the 2 features above…
Anywhere better to buy from?
Any comments or reassurance I would appreciate. This would be my first and last ‘good’ charger, now I use the OEM Eneloop charger, but would like something for 18650, and the ability to charge single cells.
If he was going to buy this for $30 plus shipping fee ,
he’d be better off to buy the Opus BT-C3100 v2.1 or
the new v2.2 charger for $10 usd more with free ship-
ping ! He’d have 4 charging slots and other capabilities
instead of the 2 slots on the Foxnovo !
Yes, suck up the few extra bucks and get a LOT of extra capability you WILL like later. Otherwise you end up like a lot of us with extra low end chargers sitting around.
Mine is downstairs right now doing a test on some NiMh I found in a recycle bin. You can’t do performance and capacity testing with the one you are looking at. If you’ve come far enough to ask this group it’s likely you’ll keep going.
There are a couple threads on it along with a review by HJK.
