NEW! XTAR MC1 Plus Charger

New from XTAR is the MC1 Plus Charger. It is billed as the "First one-slot charger with real 1A max constant current"

Full details here.

Isn’t that the one that Xtar had a giveaway for and bailed after everyone did what was required?

I do not have any idea. I am not connected with XTAR.

Looks good, i just ordered one this morning. Already have the original but the higher current capability is better.

I like my mc1. Especially for $7. PerhAps will get the plus too.

That’s funny they said that.I have a one slot XTAR charger that charges up to 2 amps, the SP1.

Maybe the first one-slot USB powered charger that charges at 1A.

Oops, guess I missed that in the description.

I love Xtar chargers. I might have to order one from Richard when he gets them in stock :)

I have one. I bought it from RMM (Mountain Electronics). I’m happy with it. I like the little pouch it comes with. Well worth the money.

How is this different from the Nitecore UM10? It is also a one slot 1A USB charger.

Well, may be they mean it’s first of a kind for xtar

You cannot charge 26650 with UM10, but I will choose UM10 over MC10 because of LCD and stronger build.

The MC10 has a 0.5A charge current for small cells, could be considered a slight pro point for those small cells but actually it could have been even a smaller current for 10440 cells, anyway nice for the 18350 and 14500 cells.

UM10 is rated 1000mA/500mA too. I sold more than 20pcs and none has issue so far. As MC10, I stopped buying after I got 2 broken out of 7. I really like XTAR a lot and I will still continue to support XTAR, but I will be more careful in selecting the right models.

According to HKJ'S review, UM10 can't charge with real 1A or 0.5A. It charges with a slightly lower current than they marked.

That would be the opposite of what they did with the VP2. IIRC they gave away something like 50 of them here on BLF.

Finally!
HKJ also reviewed this one. According to his measurements, 70mm cells should comfortably fit in this charger.
I’ve been searching a low cost, easy, reliable 1000mA USB charger that takes protected 18650s for ages!
I always had to modify those miller chargers to get what I wanted. Great product, very suitable as a gift together with flashlight.
Just the price could have been a little bit lower.

I love XTAR chargers. I may just have to swing by the XTAR Direct store, some time soon, and pick one or two of these up!
