XP-L amps?

you think 5 amp driver hitting a XP-L V6 3c is alright in a Convoy S2?
which driver from RMM?
FET +7135 Driver 17mm
FET Driver 17mm
or Qlite REV A 7135 17mm

The top one is my fav because i have two options for the 22modes, unfortunately qlite does not have this.
All of these are out of stock over at M.E no idea when they’ll be back in stock.

Good luck pulling 5A. The best I could pull on an Efest purple 26650 into a V6 3C was about 4.5 amps with a DD driver.

Q.lite with 12 chips and guppydrive is my recommendation.

4.5A is nice no complaints there just want to OD the !@#$ out of the emitter get close to or more then 2k lm
I could also work with the V5 1a…

You’re limitation will be voltage sag in the battery limiting current draw.

Yea this isn’t something that will be ran at max. Hence the guppydrv :-p

Right now I’m testing a 24 hour burn in on some emitters. Follow the thread asking if there are any XM-L2’s left that can handle 6+ amps. It may turn out that more current draw is possible if you have the ability to run a burn in cycle.

Yup I seen that, following. that’s why I am thinking xpl instead. Not about to waste good $ on Junk emitters I can’t OD a we little… A BURN In test is not a bad idea! But doesn’t that apply to moving parts… Engines

There’s no guarantee that the drop in Vf I’m seeing right now only an hour and a half in is going to result in an actual change after they’ve cooled and get retested, but if it does I might finally be happy with the current batches of emitters in single cell lights. They still probably won’t handle any extra current so there’s still going to be a limitation in multi-cell lights, but if I can drop the Vf at 5+ amps in an XP-L V6 3C, or 4 amps in an XP-G2 S3 3C to 3.7 volts or less I’ll be ecstatic.
