The idea is to drive a xhp-70 in paralel with 2s xp-g2 with the same driver.
A FET driver would be an option to get the max of the big led, but I want to stay at 5/5.5A with the xp-g2.
As FET and amc7135 drivers are just the same, I thought It could be possible to put them in paralel on one single board.
To test I used a four 7135 driver and a FET from Mountainelectronics with two xm-l in paralel and one cell.
Wiring is easy: negative original output to the “A” led.
Negative FET output to the “B” led.
Positive original output feeds in paralel both leds.
Using an old 22650 half depleted I had around.
7135 led: 1.35A max.
FET led: 2.34A max.
Both xm-l are running at the same time in the photo, but I only have one DMM so I had to take two fotos.
But I still have two more things to do. First the driver need a zener mod to accept 2s cells. Do you think I could put the mod kit Richard sell?
Second problem is that I would like to use a momentary switch but, were I have to solder it?
Thanks!
