Opus bt c3100 question

I am new to this group and have a few questions.

I watched a review by hacked gadgets on the Opus bt c3100. I like what I saw. You can charge one cell and discharge another at the same time.. Different modes can be used on different cells

I saw some others that said what ever mode is selected, all batts will use that mode.

I am also on a budget. I found a 3100 for 30.00 coming out of china with a week or 2 delivery.

Then I saw the Accupower IQ328 and since I want 2 chargers, its in my budget.

Then I see there is a bt c3400 that seems to replace the 3100 but its a little over the budget.

Do you guys know of a charger that will let each slot use a different mode? And does anyone know if the IQ328 or the BT-C2000 will let each slot do a different mode?

Thanks for any help and or input with this.

Dave

I’m pretty sure that the 3100 can do different modes at the same time, when you insert a battery it will ask you what mode and current you want to use, if you press mode for a longer time then all bays will blink and you can set all bays at the same time, IIRC.

BTW Welcome to BLF Beer

Here is a review of the V2.0 model

Do you know if the lesser versions of the 3100, like the bt c2400 do the different modes?

Thats what I am really looking for, any charger that will allow different modes, refresh/discharge on different slots while others are charging. Anything like the 3100 that will do what is does with the ability to use different modes. I am guessing the IQ328 does not and is not a good charger, tho I read Opus made it at one time..

Good Day Dave, Smile

The Opus BT-C3400 is just a relabeled BT-C3100 V2.1 (NOT the latest version).

The newest version (released about 1 month ago) is the Opus BT-C3100 V2.2, which GearBest has for sale.

Best Regards,

George

Hi Dave, Smile

The price IS GOOD, and GearBest are mostly reliable.

If you want to save money, then get 1 of Opus BT-C3100 V2.2, and 1 of Nitecore D4.

Both are Very Good (I have & use both).

Best Regards,

George

Not sure if at makes a difference or not, but I do not have any Li-Ion batts , just Ni-MH Ni-Cd.

If you have no Li-ion batteries, & you will not be getting any Li-ion battereies, then you are probably looking at the wrong chargers IMHO.

Then get the LaCrosse BC-700 from Amazon if in the US.

Btw, which country do you live in?

George

I am in the US. The BC-700 are about $10.00 higher than the opus.(times 2) I liked the ability of separate modes . Do the BC-700 let you charge one and discharge another at the same time? Does it have all the safety features as the opus?

Hi Dave, Smile

The BC-700 lets you charge one battery while discharging another, and it is a Very Good Ni-MH battery charger/analyser/conditioner.

It is my favourite Ni-MH battery charger/analyser/conditioner.

George

You can set individual modes for each bay in the Opus BT-C3100. There is a button to press that rotate the selection to each bay in turn. You simply select the bay and set it. The selection will be set automatically if you insert a battery. And using the button, after each bay has been selected in turn, all bays can be selected and you can set all bays to the same mode as well. If the power is reset then all bays will be selected when the power comes back.

The two biggest differences between the Opus BT-C3100 v2.1 or v2.2 and the Opus BT-C3400 is the name and the price.

So i ordered the 3100 from gearbest and it seems the free ship method will take like 20 days to get to New York.

That really sucks.

And the tracking number still says can not be found. I emailed them 2 days ago about the tracking number and they have yet to respond.

That's typical for China sellers. It will usually take 2-3 days (in some cases longer) before a tracking number will actually show up in the system and start showing progress. I usually count on about a 3-week wait for overseas purchases.

Sometimes tracking starts after you already have it in your hands.

Herein lies the Answer!

First some background:

I ordered a Nitecore EC21 from the Group-Buy from Gearbest back in January 2015. – Tracking from the GB site NEVER found it.

So… Go Here:

http://www.trackitonline.org/?gclid=CPTF25it08UCFY4WHwodnDQAiQ

Put in your tracking number and Your country, and it should do the rest. – It make take a few seconds.

Another order was shipped to me from Gearbest just yesterday – Of course Gearbest tracking says “Not Found”.

The site above reports: – Only it is correctly formatted (unlike below) so that you can read it:-)

It took a while for me too – sometimes up to around a minute, but I got through every time I ‘tested’ it. (only one order coming:-)

Keep at it!
