I’m looking to find a good portable backup power source for my phone. I would prefer one of those USB power plates with 2 usb ports for power tool batteries as offered by Dewalt or Milwaukee, but I have Makita Li-Ion batteries and they don’t offer one yet.
So, my next choice is to get one of those USB power banks that open up and take 18650 batteries. I’m looking for a 2 cell model, that opens and closes reliably for easy removal/installation or the 18650 batteries….unfortunately some models aren’t designed to be loaded/unloaded repeatedly. It would be nice if there was a 2 cell “power bank” that had a belt clip.
I have two of the ENB models pictured in the OP. One loaded with unprotected laptop pulls the other with Protected Panasonic NCR18650Bs. I’ve been happy with both of them.
FastTech used to advertise two models, one with 2.0A output and the other with 1.0A output. I have one of each and have confirmed the former can deliver 2.0A, or at least very close to it. It’s probably only usefull when charging a tablet or iPad.
I charge the batteries right in the power bank and have confirmed they both terminate between 4.15-4.2V.
I have this enb bought from fastech, it is perfect because I use it to charge my 18650s as well, charges slowly but it is very safe terminates at 4.19v
